FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball (DFS) picks for Monday, July 6: Stack Los Angeles Dodgers

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Reminder: Always double check the lineup card before rosters lock to make sure that a player you've chosen to roster is playing that day, and check the weather to make sure your players won't get rained out of their game.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Sean O'Sullivan

Playing specific Dodgers left handed batters against below average right handed pitching is usually a recipe for success. The Dodgers are the #1 team vs RHP with a 118 wRC+ and .189 ISO. They face Phillies RHP Sean O'Sullivan, who has a terrible 8.85 FIP vs LHB this year. These are five hitters a fantasy owner will strongly want to consider using today, but since FanDuel only allows four to be used, you'll have to leave one out.

OF- Joc Pederson, $3,300

Pederson hits leadoff, which brings added value in extra cracks at O'Sullivan and potential extra plate appearances late in games. Pederson has hit RHP to an elite 156 wRC+ and .296 ISO in 271 PA this year and he makes some of the hardest contact in the game when he puts the ball in play. Pederson is third in average exit velocity at 93.89 mph, behind only Giancarlo Stanton and Ryan Braun.

C- Yasmani Grandal, $3,200

Grandal has hit RHP to a 160 wRC+ and .257 ISO in 205 PA this year. Grandal is another Dodger hitter who hits the ball extremely hard; he's 16th in average exit velocity at 92.4 mph.

OF- Andre Ethier, $2,400

Compare Ethier's 2015 stats vs RHP to teammate and star Yasiel Puig's:

Player

PA

wRC+

ISO

OPS

Y. Puig

118

121

.162

.776

A. Ethier

223

140

.221

.856

Obviously, a player with Puig's talent is very likely to revert to his career norms vs RHP at some point (150 wRC+), but it's unclear how soon that will be as he's battled injuries and missed reps this year. For today, Ethier is $900 cheaper, providing salary relief to fit other productive hitters in elsewhere. Ethier is one of the best punt plays in today's game.

1B- Adrian Gonzalez, $3,000

Gonzalez has hit RHP to a 156 wRC+ and .246 ISO in 263 PA this year. Keep an eye on his availability, though: Gonzalez was hit by a pitch on his hand in yesterday's game and forced to exit early, but he told trainers he felt he didn't need an x-ray and said he expects to play today.

3B- Justin Turner, $3,400

If Gonzalez is out of the lineup, Turner is a great option to be the 4th Dodger in the stack. Turner has been hitting third in the Dodger lineup and owns a ridiculous 205 wRC+/.312 ISO in 171 PA vs RHP this year. Turner won't stay at those levels all year, but he's hit extremely well since joining the Dodgers in 2014 after changing his approach at the plate.

These are all affordably priced, highly productive hitters that will be in excellent position to rack up fantasy points today against lousy pitching.
