Fantasy Baseball Weekend Starting Pitching Streaming Options

Do you need Starting Pitching for your Fantasy Baseball roster this weekend? We have options.....

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

For us here in America the Fourth of July weekend is a special holiday. For us Fantasy Baseball owners it's another weekend to hopefully make the necessary moves in order to win our weekly matchups. Below are some weekend starting pitching streaming options for you to consider. Each of these options are available in more than 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Baseball leagues.

Friday

Drew Hutchison and the Toronto Blue Jays travel to Detroit to face the Tigers in a Friday evening matchup. Over his past three starts he's posted a 1.61 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP with 19 strikeouts, 6 walks and zero bombs in 16.3 innings pitched. Hutchison was 3-0 during those three starts. Decent FIP of 3.78 and matching 3.78 xFIP to go along with a .336 BABIP. The Tigers at home slash a healthy .275/.330/.415/.745 home line with a .341 wOBA and a wRC+ of 112 with a 16 percent strikeout rate at home. I like the over 10 strikeouts per nine innings here and I also like the Blue Jays matchup against the Tigers Anibal Sanchez.

Jesse Chavez and the Oakland Athletics play host to the offensively struggling Seattle Mariners in a Friday evening contest. Over his past three starts Chavez is 2-1 with an ERA of 4.58, WHIP of 1.25 with 18 strikeouts, 5 walks and 2 bombs over 17.7 innings pitched. Very good .295 BABIP and his 2.89 FIP and xFIP of 3.62 are also good numbers. Chavez has been good all season long and I look for him to do well in all scoring categories on Friday.

Saturday

Kendall Graveman and the Oakland A's host the Mariners in a Saturday afternoon matchup. Over his past three starts Graveman is 2-1 with a 1.71 ERA, WHIP of 1.14 with 13 strikeouts, 6 walks and 2 bombs in 21 innings pitched. Graveman has also had six consecutive quality starts to go along with a season long .296 BABIP, a 4.47 FIP and an xFIP of 4.32. The Mariners on the road slash a miserable line of .223/.284/.377/.661 with a .306 wOBA, .294 BABIP and a wRC+ of 92 and a 18 percent strikeout rate. Graveman should go deep in this ballgame and post good stats straight across the board on Saturday.

Cody Anderson and the Cleveland Indians travel to Pittsburgh for a Saturday afternoon contest. Over his only two starts this season Anderson is 1-0 with a 0.57 ERA, WHIP of 0.57 with 6 strikeouts, 1 walk and 1 bomb over 15.7 innings pitched. Tremendous .149 BABIP and a decent FIP of 3.43 and xFIP of 3.94. The Pirates slash a respectable .263/.325/.390/.715 home line with a .311 BABIP as well as a wOBA of .324 and wRC+ of 109. The Pirates strikeout rate against righties at home 17 percent. I like Anderson to win this game as his matchup against the Pirates Jeff Locke is one the Indians bats can exploit.

Sunday

Mike Montgomery and the Mariners have a Sunday afternoon matchup with the Athletics in Oakland. Montgomery is 2-1 in his last three starts posting an impressive 1.42 ERA and an equally impressive 0.75 WHIP with 18 strikeouts, 6 walks and zero bombs in 25.3 innings pitched. Amazing .203 BABIP and good 3.02 FIP to go along with an xFIP of 4.02. Montgomery also has three quality starts during this 3 game span. The Athletics at home slash a .267/.326/.403/.729 line but against lefties they aren't as good slashing a line of .239/.320/.358/.679 with a .283 BABIP to go with a wOBA of .312 and wRC+ of 99. I like Montgomery straight across the board in every scoring category on Sunday!

Good luck this weekend Fantasy Baseball owner!
