The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming selections for owners who prefer to stream starting pitchers on a daily basis. This report identifies starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues, and who either has a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a decent matchup.
Opening Day Streamers
There are plenty of #1 starters going on Opening Day, so some of the options are limited. Let's take a look.
Kyle Lohse, Brewers vs Rockies
Lohse is owned in less than 10% of leagues on Opening Day, and gets to face a Rockies team that struggled on the road in 2014. Lohse went 4-3 in 12 home starts last season with a 2.72 ERA and was 6-1 with a 3.60 ERA n day games last season. He made two starts vs the Rockies last season, going 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA.
Henderson Alvarez, Marlins vs Braves
I will be using plenty of streamers vs the Braves and Phillies this season, and so should you, as both teams will struggle to score runs this season. Alvarez is owned in just over 20% of leagues last season, and I am not sure why. Last season, he went 7-2 with a 1.60 ERA in 14 home starts last season. Basically he was Clayton Kershaw at home last year minus the strikeouts.
Tuesday's Streamers
Jesse Hahn, Athletics vs Rangers
Hahn is owned in less than 10% of leagues and gets to face the Rangers who struggled to score runs in 2014. Hahn went 7-4 with a 3.07 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP while striking out nearly a batter per inning in his 12 starts last season.
Chen is owned in just 6.3% of leagues on Tuesday and he gets a Rays team on the road in his first start of the season, and the road is where he flourished last season, going 8-4 with a 3.33 ERA in 16 starts. He went 1-1 with a 3.67 ERA in five starts vs the Rays in 2014.
