FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball picks for Saturday, April 25

I list some players that I think have a good chance at producing today.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Reminder: Always double check the lineup card before rosters lock to make sure that a player you've chosen to roster is playing that day.

C- Buster Posey vs. Jorge De La Rosa, $4,000

Catching is thin tomorrow with the injuries to Jonathan Lucroy, Travis d'Arnaud and Devin Mesoraco, plus the demotion of Wilin Rosario to AAA. Posey is facing a LHP with extreme platoon splits in Coors Field (De La Rosa's FIP vs. RHB is about 4.7 for his career). Posey, the best hitting catcher in baseball, will be in great position to produce tomorrow in this setting.

OF- Carlos Gonzalez vs. Tim Hudson $3,100

CarGo's price has dropped to absurdly low levels for a player of his ability in Coors Field. CarGo's lack of production before today was largely due to an unsustainable .196 BABIP. He is going to hit, it's just a matter of time, and this matchup vs. Tim Hudson in Coors Field, a RHP who has a FIP near 4 over the last 2 years vs. LHB, is a good one.

OF- John Mayberry Jr. vs. CC Sabathia, $2,300

CC has changed the way he's pitched this year, throwing more vertically dropping pitches like sinkers, curves and change ups and mostly scraping his four seamer and slider, so his previous statistics become less effective in trying to analyze what to expect from him going forward. That said, his velocity is still significantly lower than it has ever been, and Mayberry has a career 132 wRC+ against LHP. Yankee Stadium is a high run scoring environment and Mayberry will likely be slotted in the middle of the order.

OF- Hanley Ramirez vs. Wei Yin Chen, $3,600

Ramirez leads MLB in exit velocity at approximately 101 mph. He has clobbered LHP since 2013, posting about a 180 wRC+ against them in that time frame. He hits in the hitter friendly Camden Yards tomorrow, and Chen's FIP vs. RHB is 4.35 for his career.

1B- Freddie Freeman vs. David Buchanan, $3,300

Freeman tees off on below average right handed pitching. He's posted a wRC+ in the mid 150s against all RHP since 2013, and Philadelphia's home park is very home run friendly. ZiPS projects a 4.68 ERA for Buchanan the rest of the way, making this matchup very appealing, especially at that price.
