The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming selections for owners who prefer to stream starting pitchers on a daily basis. This report identifies starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either has a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a decent matchup.
Wednesday's Streamers
Jarred Cosart, Marlins vs Phillies
Cosart is owned in just over 1% of leagues right now, and he hasn't pitched particularly well in his first two starts of the season, but the ground ball pitcher gets to face the anemic Phillies lineup on Wednesday night. Cosart will be facing the Phillies for the first time since he joined the Marlins, and will be looking to rebound from his last outing where he gave up five runs in 5.1 innings. The Phillies are hitting .212 with just 32 runs scored in 13 games, so Cosart should fare well on Wednesday.
Nelson is available in just about 70% of leagues right now, and his ownership percentage has risen in the first two weeks of the season. He has pitched well in his first two starts, going 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and a 12-2 strikeout to walk ratio in 12 innings. Along with the 12 strikeouts, he has induced 18 ground ball outs as well, and isn't walking many, so he is displaying the proper skills you want to see in a young starter.
Happ is owned in less than 1% of leagues right now, but he gets to face an Astros team that strikes out a ton, and has had trouble putting runs across the plate this season. The Astros rank 28th in runs scored, scoring 34 runs in their 12 games, and Happ has pitched well in the early going thus far, pitching to a 2.70 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP in 13.1 innings in his two starts.
