The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming selections for owners who prefer to stream starting pitchers on a daily basis. This report identifies starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either has a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a decent matchup.
Friday's Streamers
Karns is owned in less than 1% of leagues right now, but gets a good matchup vs an old Yankees team on Friday night. After struggling in his first start of the season, Karns was solid in start #2, limiting the Marlins to one run on 2 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings, and I expect him to pitch effectively vs the Yankees.
Bartolo Colon, Mets vs Marlins
I am riding Colon for his third straight start, as he has yet to disapppoint in his first two starts. He is barely owned above 50%, so I will include him in today's Streamer report. He is 2-0 on the season, with a 2.77 ERA and 0.77 WHIP. Last season, Colon was 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA and a 12-1 strikeout to walk rate in two starts vs the Marlins.
Hammel is owned in just over 10% of leagues right now, but has a good matchup vs the Brewers on Friday night. Last season, Hammel went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a 15-2 strikeout to walk rate in 14 innings over two starts.
