As the playoff picture comes in to focus, there are plenty of teams with a lot to play for this week. We have a great slate of games for our FanDuel lineups, and I'll go over one of my favorite GPP lineups for this week below.
Quarterback
Drew Brees $8,200
The Saints are hosing the Jaguars this week, and while New Orleans may be out of the playoff picture, Drew Brees will not let the Saints phone it in on Sunday. The Jaguars are still horrible on defense, and Brees gets to play at home. I love the bargain you're getting with Brees for just a bit above $8k this week.
Running Back
DeAngelo Williams $7,400
Williams is looking great as the Steelers make their push to get in to the playoffs. With the always-tough Baltimore Ravens matchup this week, I think we'll see a rare domination by the Steelers in this one, giving DeAngelo plenty of work late in the game.
Tim Hightower - $6,300
The Jaguars cannot stop any offense in any phase of the game, and I think this is something that Hightower will take full advantage of. Both of these teams should be able to score at will, and so at $6,300, I'm thrilled to get the lead back in the Saints offense this week.
Wide Receiver
Mike Evans - $8,200
Evans is getting unbelievable volume from rookie quarterback Jameis Winston. The Bucs are still terrible, but it is hard to pass on a guy seeing 15+ targets regularly. I'm getting Evans in to most of my lineups this week, crossing my fingers he'll add a touchdown to that 150+ yard performance.
Martavis Bryant - $7,200
Bryant's price is catching up to him, and he comes in a little expensive this week. With the Steelers facing the Ravnens, I think Bryant's price tag is still pretty reasonable considering his opponent. Anything I can do to get Steelers in my lineup this week, I'm doing.
Tyler Lockett $6,200
Lockett is putting up great production in the tail-end of his rookie season. Russell Wilson is playing out of his mind, and that rising tides is lifting all ships on the Seahawks offense.
Tight End
Julius Thomas $6,500
Yes the Jaguars are still terrible, but they can put up points now, at least. The Jags will be on the road against the worst defense in the league, and Bortles is forcing the ball to Thomas. I love the guy at this price in this matchup this week.
Kicker
Cairo Santos $4,600
The Chiefs are hoting the Browns this week... Do I need to keep going? Is there more that I need to say to justify my throw-a-dart, pick-a-kicker-and-get-this-thing-saved selection at kicker this week?
Defense
Houston Texans $5,000
The Texans are a little pricey this week, but they will be facing a Marcus Mariota-less Tennessee Titans team. With a backup quarterback for their opponent, and Brandon Weeden under center for the Texans, JJ Watt and the Houston defense will have to carry the day if the Texans want to remain atop their terrible division.
