Well folks, it's been a long season, and hopefully you're still in it. The waiver wire is a little thin this time in the season, but there are still a couple of guys out there that might help you remind your friends that you are, in fact, smarter and more competent than your league-mates. I'll go through a few of my favorite guys owned in less than 33% of leagues.
QB - Johnny Manziel VS Kansas City Chiefs
The wire is bare this week. The only QBs owned in under 33% of leagues are the likes of Brock Osweiler, Brian Hoyer, AJ McCarron, blegh. If I had to throw a dart I'd take a chance on Johnny Manziel. McCarron has to travel to Denver this week, giving Manziel the slightest of edges. .
RB - Bilal Powell VS New England Patriots
I expect the Pats to continue putting up points, and that shouldn't be a big problem for the high-flying Jets. Powell has put up several good games in a row and he's looked good sharing the backfield with Chris Ivory. It's tough to rely on Powell for your championship matchup, but if you're desperate, I think he's the best play this week.
WR - Dorial Green-Beckham VS Houston Texans
DGB is coming on at the close of his rookie season. With a tough matchup against the division leading Houston Texans, Green-Beckham, the Titans are going to have to lean on their receivers and DGB is showing why, despite big off-the-field concerns, he was taken in the second round of the draft. He's tall, and smooth, and the Titans will need him this week.
TE - Will Tye VS Minnesota Vikings
Tye continues to produce for the Giants, hauling in a touchdown to go with his usual 70 yards last week. With the Giants still in contention, and with Odell Beckham facing a suspension this week, Tye should see a bigger role in an offense that will need someone to step up. Tye is giving you enough, consistently, making him a flex consideration too if you're really stuck.
D/ST - Minnesota VS New York Giants
While I think that Will Tye is going to have a good day, I doubt many other Giants will against a tough Vikings squad. The Giants offense relies on Odell Beckham jr. to get things moving, and he'll be out for this one. The Vikings can do enough to pressure Eli in to some bad decisions, and so we may see several turnovers this week.
