Week 16 QB Rankings

Need a streamer? Deciding between two QBs? Jacob Adler looks into the best QB matchups this weekend.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Best of luck this week if you still have something to play for. Here's how last week's streamers performed.

Ryan Fitzpatrick against Dallas Cowboys

Week 15 Finish: 19

The Cowboys have been adept at limiting opposing QB's, although Fitzpatrick didn't kill anyone that played him.

Alex Smith against Baltimore Ravens

Week 15 Finish: 24

Again, he didn't kill anyone, but you likely were disappointed if you started him.

Kirk Cousins against Buffalo Bills

Week 15 Finish: 2

It's a shame Kellen Moore gets the Bills this week. Almost any other starter would have been my top QB of the week.

Marcus Mariota against New England Patriots

Week 15 Finish: Bad

An injury prevented Marcus Mariota from finishing the game, but he wasn't doing much before.

Now onto this week's streamers.

Week 16 Streamers

Kirk Cousins against Philadelphia Eagles

Via the Rotoviz Game Splits App, Kirk Cousins averages 26.48 fantasy points per game at home and 15.44 on the road. This week, he is on the road. However, the Eagles have proven to be a piece-of-cake matchup for quarterbacks, and do not have a defensive back that can stop DeSean Jackson. Cousins is still criminally underowned.

Teddy Bridgewater against New York Giants

If you're read this column before, you know I haven't been a fan of Teddy Bridgewater this season. After his best game of the season after throwing four touchdown passes against the Bears, I'm willing to take a chance on Bridgewater this week. There is major letdown potential here, but the Giants have been an easy matchup for quarterbacks.

Alex Smith against Cleveland Browns

Yet another matchup for Alex Smith where he likely will not need to throw enough to achieve his ceiling. However, you getting him for the floor, not the ceiling, as his Week 2 game versus Denver was his only one below 12 points.

Jameis Winston against Chicago Bears

Like Alex Smith, Jameis Winston has been a great floor play all season. The Bears are nothing to be scared of, but I'm not sure how much of a ceiling there is with the Buccaneers limiting his dropbacks.

Brian Hoyer against Tennessee Titans

If he plays, Brian Hoyer has a great matchup against a Titans defense that has been among the NFL's worst against the pass. Hoyer and DeAndre Hopkins should both be in for big days.
