Last DFS article before Christmas, so I gotta make this one count.
I'm doubling up - and giving you TWO deals at every position.
Don't say I didn't get you anything.
Mario Chalmers, MEM ($4200)
Not a high end choice, but good for 8.5 PPG and 4 AST the last 4 games. Last game he got 7 assists and 4 steals, so here's hoping he can continue that momentum... After a torrid start to his Memphis career, Chalmers has cooled off considerably. But he's still a useful asset...
Patrick Beverley, HOU ($4200)
While not great in the assists department, Beverley has averaged over 10 PPG, 5 REB and 2 3PM the last 3 games. He's also at 1.3 STL for the season, so he's a strong counting stats option. He's not the perfect option - and his field goal % is always low - but if you're looking for cheap counting stats in the PG slot, Patrick Beverley is your man...
Randy Foye, DEN ($3800)
While having a terrible season, Foye has been resurgent the last 2 games. 13 PPG, 3 3PM, 4 REB, 3.5 AST. The issue with Randy this year is PT, but when he gets the minutes, he can produce. I have no idea how much run he'll get tonight, but he's been pretty good recently. So for $3800, I'd give him a shot...
Kyle Korver, ATL ($4600)
Korver has been a little disappointing this year, but he's starting to catch fire. 13 PPG with 3 3PM the last 3 games. Modest counting stats in other categories, but if Kyle Korver wakes up, you've got the best shooter in the NBA on your squad. He's inconsistent this season, but playing well right now. Good price if you need a 3-point shooter.
P.J. Tucker, PHX ($3500)
I'm calling this one a hunch, and selecting P.J. Tucker tonight. He's been battling T.J. Warren all season for the most randomly awesome performer, but T.J. has been winning the battle lately. While last game was a dud for PJ, the game before he ended up with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 3PM. He's playing over 20 minutes a night, so it's just a question of what he does with them... For league minimum price, there is upside here.
Matt Barnes, MEM ($4900)
I've gotta recommend Matt Barnes again - as he's not slowing down anytime soon. I recommended him last night, and he went off. Again. 12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 3PM, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. He's as safe as it gets right now in DFS. Plug him in and enjoy...
Mirza Teletovic, PHX ($4000)
Definitely streaky, but always capable of a huge shooting night. Last game he went 17 & 7 with 3 3PM. Hasn't played as many minutes recently, but always capable of scoring 25 when he gets run. Very volatile, but lots of upside. Super cheap, but on a team with weird rotations. Proceed with caution.
Frank Kaminsky, CHA ($4000)
I'm still waiting for his big breakout game, but he's been steady with consistent minutes. Coming off 12 & 5 - with a block and 2 3PM - Kaminsky is going to be a coveted Fantasy asset one day. He's a decent one now, but that shift is coming. He's more likely to be a mediocre producer at a modest price, but explosive upside exists in Frank the Tank. If you're a risk taker, grab him tonight.
Andrea Bargnani, BKN ($3900)
The streaky Italian hasn't scored less than 8 points in 7 games. Pretty steady at double digit scoring with 5 boards with modest counting stats. Shooting good % from the field too. He won't save the day, but for $3900, you could do worse. And he's always capable of more, so breakout potential always exists with Andrea... Worth a shot if you need to save dough.
Nikola Jokic, DEN ($4200)
Coming off 15 & 10 with 3 assists, now is the time to give Nikola a shot. The minutes are steady right now, and so is the production. He's a rook, and he's exploding with potential. This could just be the beginning... Circle and underline this name.
So that's 10 names for ya.
Twice as many as I usually do.
I guess I'm in the Christmas spirit.
Good for me.
