Week 13 Wide Receiver Rankings -- PPR Leagues: Jarvis Landry an Elite Play

Having trouble deciding who to start in PPR leagues? Alex has his WR rankings to help you in making those decisions.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Ranking the WRs in point-per-reception scoring formats is always a difficult balance between volume and the likelihood of scoring multiple TDs at the top, and volume with scoring at all as we go down the list. Bye weeks are over and the Thursday night game is not discounted, as both the Lions and Packers are on a week's rest.

Notes:

  • Assuming that Danny Amendola will be playing but that Allen Hurns will not. If Amendola is out, Lafell bumps up to around the top-20.

  • Dez Bryant was not very difficult. Fielding passes from Matt Cassell lowers his likelihood to score a TD, as he is very dependent on yards after the catch. The targets are not of any concern, as he should get his, but there is so much disaster potential to produce below replacement level and so much of his ceiling is under 20 points. In standard leagues, he is probably a WR4, but the extra 6-7 points from receptions should give him WR2 value.

  • The top-10 is stacked with guys who can all finish top-3 for the week. The WR1 upside trickles down to around WR18 and the WR2 upside down to around WR35, so there is a wealth of flex options to not have to settle on starting RBs in our flex spots.

  • The most significant PPR boosts were Demaryius Thomas, Danny Amendola, Mike Evans, Dez Bryant, Jeremy Maclin, and Kendall Wright with Anquan Boldin, Jordan Matthews, Cecil Shorts III, Davante Adams, Dontrelle Inman, and Rueben Randle only flex-worthy in 12-team leagues because of the PPR format. Otherwise, RBs or deep threat WRs are better gambles.

  • After around WR32, we can really start playing faster and looser with upside in who we start. The rankings reflect how I would make those decisions. Feel free to ask why in the comments or on Twitter, where you can find me at @AlexSontySBN.
