Fantasy Hockey: Week Eleven Waiver Wire and Sleeper Options

Phil works the Fantasy Hockey waiver wire and finds some intriguing options for Fantasy Hockey General Managers to consider for week eleven.

Week eleven of the Fantasy Hockey season begins on Monday December 14th and if you are like me and didn't draft Patrick Kane when he was available you are probably kicking yourself. Oh well that's Fantasy Hockey and there's always the waiver wire.....and this is what I have for you this week!

Teams with four games are the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vancouver Canucks and the Washington Capitals.

Teams having two games this week are the Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes and the Winnipeg Jets. All other NHL teams have three games this week.

Week 11 Waiver Wire Options

Center/Left Wing/Right Wing: Oscar Lindberg and the Rangers have four games this week and over his last five games he's scored a goal and 19 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of zero skating roughly 14 minutes a night on the Rangers second line as well as spending a good bit of time on the Rangers second power play unit. For the season Lindberg has 65 hits, 19 blocks and 18 penalty minutes and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Left Wing: Matt Beleskey and the Bruins have four games this week and over his past five games has 1 goal and 3 helpers on 16 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 3 skating 17 minutes a game on the Bruins second line as well as spending time on the Bruins second power play unit. For the season Beleskey has 92 hits, 16 blocks and 24 penalty minutes and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Olli Maatta and the Pittsburgh Penguins have four games this week and over his last five games Maatta has scored 2 goals and added 2 assists on 6 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 1 skating roughly 20 minutes a night on the Penguins second defensive line. For the season Maatta has 15 hits and 27 blocks as well as 6 minutes in penalties and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Defense: Danny Boyle and the Rangers have five games and over his last five he has scored a goal, added an assist with 9 shots on goals for a plus minus rating of 1 skating roughly 22 minutes a night on the Rangers second line of defense as well as spending time on both the Rangers first and second power play units. For the season Boyle has 30 hits and 31 blocks to go along with 14 penalty minutes and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Goaltender: Michal Neuvirth and the Flyers have three games this week without a back to back getting in the way and Neuvirth has been fantastic this season with a NHL leading 93 percent save percentage. Over the last 5 games Neuvirth has racked up 3 wins with a 94 percent save percentage and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.

Left Wing/Right Wing: Boone Jenner and Columbus have four games this week and over the past five games Jenner has a goal and 15 shots on goal for a plus minus rating of 1 skating roughly 15 minutes a night on the Blue Jackets third line as well as spending time on the Blue Jackets second power play unit. For the season Jenner has 79 hits, 23 blocks and 20 penalty minutes and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
