Week 9
Washington Redskins @ New England Patriots (NE -15) - New England is winning by an average of 19 points at home. Washington has lost all three on the road this season to Giants, Jets and Falcons by an average of 10 points. New England has a more talented offense. They win by 18.
Green Bay Packers @ Carolina Panthers (GB -2.5) - Sorry Carolina, this is where I step off your train. The Defense is good but Rodgers is better, especially an Aaron Rodgers eager to get the Denver loss behind him. Packers win by 3 and cover the points.
Tennessee Titans @ New Orleans Saints (NO -9) - It's no surprise New Orleans plays better at home so the win should come easy enough. Tennessee is 1-2 against the spread on the road while the Saints are 4-1 at home. Miami showed a new coach can turn around a team but that's not the norm. Saints cover the points.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (Buf -2.5) - Miami is a different team under the new Dan Campbell and Ryan Tannehill is playing well. This will be a good match, but Miami overcomes Tyrod Taylors return in Buffalo.
St. Louis Rams @ Minnesota Vikings (Even) - I'm staying on the Vikings train. Minnesota at home with the win. Minnesota is 5-0 against the spread in the last 5 games.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New York Jets (NYJ -9) - The Jets are playing great ball. They are also 7-2-1 against the spread in the last 10 games. BUT I take Jacksonville off the bye with the points.
Oakland Raiders @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Pit -4) - Pittsburgh pulls off the win as Oakland travels cross country for this matchup. But Oakland with the points is nice vs. the Steelers struggling without their top RB.
New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NYG -2.5) - The Giants have not fared well in November at 0-7 over their last 7 November matchups. Last weeks shootout had to be tiring for both the Offense and Defense in New York.
Atlanta Falcons @ San Francisco 49ers (Atl -7.5) - The 49ers lost by 21 to the Rams 17 to the Seahawks in their last two games. Atlanta wins by 10 and covers.
Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts (Den -5) - Denver is playing great ball and the walls are falling in around Indianapolis. Denver wins and covers the points.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys (Phi -3) - Philadelphia is starting to work together well as a unit. Dallas continues to lose.
Chicago Bears @ San Diego Chargers (SD -4) - The Steelers are the only team who has come across country to beat the Chargers and they are markedly better than the Bears (or at least were when they played back then). Expect them to be "charged" up for Monday Night Football on Monday. San Diego covers the spread.
