Week 12 Tight End Rankings - PPR Leagues

Thanksgiving Day, the end to bye weeks, and Gronkowski finally falling in the rankings. Nick Petraccione ranks his top tight ends for Week 12.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

If there's one thing we are all thankful for this Thanksgiving Day, it's that bye weeks are over. Yes, Gronkowski has finally fell all the way to number two this week. A huge drop in his ranking. Taking his place is at the top is Greg Olsen. The reason being is that Gronkowski has the harder matchup this week. He's on the road against a tough Denver defense. Although Dallas hasn't been very giving to tight ends, I give the slight edge to Olsen.

While you have all been slaving over your Thanksgiving dinners today, I've been slaving over these rankings. After the list, see a couple of guys a think will have a good Thanksgiving performance and one tight end you may want to avoid this week.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Fake Teams!

With Zach Ertz out for the Thanksgiving game against the Lions, Brent Celek steps into the role as Philadelphia's TE1. Celek has been on fire the last two weeks totaling 11 catches for 213 yards in that span. After never making it on my rankings board, Celek shoots up to number 12 this week. Many of you may think that's a little too high, but Detroit has been awful against tight ends. The Lions let up nearly one touchdown a game to the position. Celek has been making the most of his opportunities when called upon and today is no different.

Jacob Tamme's production has fallen off after Leonard Hankerson has come back from injury and I see the downward trend continuing. The more weapons Matt Ryan has, the more he will spread the ball around. Tamme just won't get the amount of looks to make him relevant in PPR Leagues.

I've said in past rankings not to jump on Zach Miller after his 31 point explosion and I was right. Last week he only totaled three catches for 47 yards. But, now may be the time to add him in your lineup. Martellus Bennett has been ruled out against the Packers and Miller gets the starting nod. Last week Miller did see six targets even with Bennett in and should get more his way now that Bennett won't see the field. If you're looking for a sneaky tight end play on this Thanksgiving Day, Miller could be just what you're looking for.
