Fantasy Hockey: Week Seven Waiver Wire Options

Phil is working the Fantasy Hockey leagues waiver wire and has some hidden gems for you to use this week.

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

Week seven of the Fantasy Hockey season begins on Monday the 16th of November, 2015. This season seems to be flying by and it will be over before we know it. That's why we need to begin tidying up our rosters for our playoff push! Let's see what I found this week.

Teams having 4 games this week include the Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, New York Rangers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadians have two games this week and every other National Hockey League team has three games this week.

Back To Back Games This Week

Arizona (Mon-Tue), Columbus (Fri-Sat), Calgary (Thur-Fri), Chicago (Sat-Sun), Detroit (Fri-Sat), New York Islanders (Thur-Fri), New York Rangers (Sat-Sun), Pittsburgh (Fri-Sat), San Jose (Fri-Sat), Toronto (Sat-Sun) and Washington (Thur-Fri).

Week Seven Waiver Wire Options

Calgary Flames Sam Bennett (LW C) is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues and over his last 5 games he has 3 goals and 2 assists on 8 shots on goal skating 15 minutes a night on the Flames second line while also spending some time on the Flames second power play unit. Bennett also has only 2 penalty minutes, 26 hits and 3 blocked shots good for a minus 1 this season.

New York Rangers RW Kevin Hayes is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues and over his last five games has 3 goals, 2 assists and 16 shots on goal skating 13 and a half minutes per game centering the Rangers third line and also joining in on the Rangers second power play unit. Hayes also has 4 penalty minutes with 8 hits and 6 blocks to his credit good for a plus 4 on the season.

The Rangers Center Oscar Lindberg is available in just over 50 percent of Major Fantasy Hockey leagues and over his past five games has 2 goals and 3 assists on 11 shots on goal for a plus 9 skating 13 minutes a night on the Rangers third line and also spending some time on the Rangers second power play unit. Lindberg has 10 penalty minutes, 39 hits and 10 blocks to his credit and should be considered this week.

Arizona Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey and over his last 5 games he has 1 assist and 7 shots on goal for a plus 4 skating 21 minutes a night on the Coyotes top defensive pairing. Stone has 12 penalty minutes, 22 hits and 21 blocks this season and might be a good add to your blue line this week.

The Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues and over his last 5 games he has 1 goal and 1 assist on 4 shots on goal for a plus 12 skating nearly 21 minutes a night on the Rangers third defensive pairing. Klein also has 13 minutes in penalties, 29 hits and 32 blocks this season and could be just what your blue line needs this week.

The Columbus Blue Jackets David Savard is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues and even though his team has just 3 games this week he is a must add. Over his last 5 games Savard has 4 helpers and 11 shots on goal for a minus 8 skating nearly 24 minutes a night on the Blue Jackets first line of defense and playing the point on the Jackets first power play unit. Savard has 8 minutes in penalties this season with 31 hits and 22 blocks to his account and also could be a good add for this week.

Good luck this week Fantasy Hockey General Manager!
