Week 6 was good for me on FanDuel, hope we carry that over to Week 7 with these juicy matchups. I wrote something a little different this week. Each week, I throw out a lineup that I, for the most part, hate. That lineup has ended up doing pretty well for me the past few weeks, clearly showing you should not trust me. So, here is my ‘why-the-f-not' FanDuel lineup for Week 7.
QB - Eli Manning - $7,800
He's coming off a bad week and I'm hoping that keeps his ownership low. The Cowboys and Giants always play good games, and it's never outside the realm of possibility for Eli to put up 350 yards and 3 touchdowns.
RB - Devonta Freeman - $8,700
Freeman has been on a historic streak of late, and I'll keep buying him until he disappoints.
RB - Lamar Miller - $6,700
Skipping Tod Gurley at $7,400 is tough, but I think Gurley will be really highly owned, and the Rams are still terrible. I may regret that decision come Sunday.
Miller, though, is coming off a strong week against Tennessee, and the Dolphins host the Houston Texans. The Texans haven't looked great on defense this year, and Miller, when given a nice workload, tends to hand in nice scores for us. I'll take chance that we're seeing a new trend develop for Miami and Miller, and I'll get on the bandwagon early.
WR - DeAndre Hopkins - $9,100
This Hopkins pick is a lot like my Freeman pick, when he has a somewhat normal game I'll consider not buying him.
WR - Michael Floyd - $4,900
I really need to save some salary on this lineup, and Floyd provides some great relief at $4,900. Arizona's offense has looked amazing (in most games...) this year, and Floyd is still a talented wide receiver. Floyd has amazing upside, a very low price, and gives you something to root for on Monday Night Football.
WR - Odell Beckham Jr. $9,000
Beckham Jr. is coming off a down week, down by Odell's standards, and battling a hamstring injury. I think this will leave Odell fairly lightly owned, and Cowboys V Giants is always a high flying matchup. I'm paring Eli and Odell, hoping the Giants rebound this week.
TE - Ladarius Green - $5,100
I'm still scrambling to get in under the cap here, and with Gates fighting a knee injury, Green could benefit big time. Worst case scenario Gates playes but is limited, and Green sees a slight bump in usage against an Oakland Raiders team that is making a lot tight ends look like all-pros.
K - Travis Coons - $4,500
Coons is perfect for the season so far, hopefully he can knock down a few long field goals this week against the Rams.
Defense - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - $4,000
I needed just about minimum salary here to make it work, and the Bucs are playing Washington and Kirk Cousins this week. I'm hoping Cousins continues to struggle, and the Bucs build on their win last week against Jaguars.
