If you missed out on the early entries into my weekly series, you can find it all right here: Fake Teams Fantasy Hockey.

In the snake draft league - This was Made in Kariya - I was able to capitalize on an easier matchup, taking my big win and jumping up to sixth and a playoff spot again, I need to continue to string the wins together and pick up points as I'm still too close to the edge for comfort.. The auction draft league - Don't Toews me bro! - I picked up a tie and fell one spot, but it's still close. I'm in third and only four points out of first still, so it's not so bad. Overall I went 4-1-1 last week and I'm now 38-25-8 in head to head matchups on the year. My matchup winning percentage is 0.592 for the year among all leagues versus my category (points) winning percentage of 0.549. It's nice to be winning again.

Week Thirteen (January 5-11):

4 Game Week: Chicago, Minnesota, San Jose, Winnipeg
2 Game Week: Anaheim, Los Angeles, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Toronto
All other teams at 3 games

I'm not ready for a waiver piece as I've been busy watching the World Junior Hockey Championship since Boxing day. It's been quite the tournament and I have been keeping an eye on super prospects Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel (as everyone has been). Prior to the tournament start and even during the first few games, I was largely under the impression that McDavid played too cute a game and that I preferred Eichel's style of attack. It's a bit more physical and polished and translates better to the pro game, at least immediately. McDavid though has been changing my mind over the last two games. His hockey sense and vision is outstanding and when he's on his game, it's tough to see how Eichel can match him. Still though, McDavid can disappear from a game whe he's not on his game, while Eichel always seems to have an impact due to the style he plays. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out come the NHL Prospect Draft this year.

In other news, team Canada is going for gold shortly, so I'd best make this quick so I can cheer on my team!

Week Fourteen (January 12-18) Preview:

4 Game Week: Arizona, Buffalo, Colorado, Dallas, Detroit, New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington, Winnipeg
2 Game Week: Calgary, Chicago, New Jersey
All other teams at 3 games

My NHL Schedule:

The NHL Schedule has not been revised for anything since last week but can be found here: 2014-15 NHL Schedule . Don't forget to change the time zone to your appropriate time zone. The one thing I ask of you is that you do not take my schedule and use it for your own personal gains. Please do not sell it, you can direct people here to find it, but do not sell it.

I'm new to the twitterverse, but I'd love to hear your feedback and questions. Follow me on Twitter @HockeyGauntlet for more of my thoughts and all of your fantasy hockey needs.
