Week 4 D/ST Rankings

Is your fantasy defense on bye? Jacob Adler mulls over potential replacements with the weekend's remaining matchups.

Leon Halip

Six teams on bye! It's both a good and bad week for streaming, as a lot of good defenses are out, but the majority of the top 10 is available on waivers. The Lions get the nod as the top pick, but it's a close battle between them, the Dolphins, Chargers, and Bills to determine the order of the top four. Look at the quarterbacks for the Jets, Raiders, Jaguars, and Texans, and now you feel me. Best of luck this week.

Three Matchups to Stream

Miami Dolphins vs. Oakland Raiders

The Dolphins will allow points, but the elite pass rush is going to give Derek Carr fits, and I'm banking on turnovers. Look for the yardage numbers to get a boost from a solid day from the offense.

Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans

I'm not sure I'll ever believe in Fitzmagic, so this obviously comes across as an appealing matchup. Buffalo will control the ball on offense through the run game, and the front seven should be able to limit Arian Foster, if he plays.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

I think the Colts have a bad defense and the Titans have a good offense, but an injured Jake Locker means Tennessee will likely have a different look. Just don't be surprised if Charlie Whitehurst comes in and starts throwing bombs to Justin Hunter.

Matchup to Avoid

San Francisco 49ers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
