DFS: Top NFL FanDuel Plays For Week Three

Dug Fister shares his top cash game and tournament plays for FanDuel's week three NFL contests.

Jonathan Daniel

Week three is upon us, and there has been no shortage of drama.  With a bunch of players being suspended and injured there is some value to be found.  This week the matchups seem a lot closer than the last two weeks so be careful with your game selection.  I am going to keep the intro short today so let's get in to this weeks cash game and tournament plays.

All Players Based On FanDuel Pricing.

QB (Cash) - Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears, $8,100 - The whole week I keep coming back to Cutler for cash games.  Sure there are elite options who might score more than him but honestly I am not willing to pay an extra $1000-1500 more for possibly an extra 2-4 points.  The Jets secondary is atrocious plain and simple, and Cutler should have a field day.

QB (GPP) - Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins $6,800 - In terms of pricing Cousins gives you good value.  The Eagles secondary is a joke and Cousins' has some good options to target.  With the way Cousins is price you can build one hell of a GPP lineup around him.

RB (Cash) - DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys, $8,700 - The Cowboys have ran the ball exactly 50% of the time thus far this season, and Murray has been the work horse.  In my honest opinion he has the highest floor this week.

RB (GPP) - Rashad Jennings, New York Giants, $6,400 - Jennings is a steal at $6,400, I think he gets the job done against the Houston Texans defense this week.  I would like Jennings even more if we got a full point per reception, but beggars can't be choosers.

WR (Cash) - Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears, $8,200 - As mentioned with Cutler the Jets secondary is atrocious.  I also like pairing my QB with his WR1 in cash games.  You can also use Alshon Jeffrey if you want to save some cap space.

WR (GPP) - Pierre Garcon, Washtington Redskins, $6,500 - Garcon is simply underpriced.  This might be the steal of the weak, he is clearly a WR1 priced like a WR2.  I recommend using him in all your GPP lineups.

TE (Cash) - Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers, $6,100 - Olsen is Cam Newton's favorite target, and is an absolute beast.  With a decent matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers and him being priced well below what "elite" tight end's are priced at this makes a decent cash game play.

TE (GPP) - Jared Cook, St. Louis Rams, $5,200 - I am simply going back to what has worked for me thus far.  Picking on the Cowboys defense versus tight ends.  It worked with Vernon Davis week one, sure as hell worked with Delanie Walker week two - and should work with Cook in week three.

D/ST - Indianapolis Colts, $5,100 - The Colts defense is far from elite, but they play the Jacksonville Jaguars - which should be more than enough reason to use them.  I expect high ownership for the New England Patriots and Texans based on matchups, so the Colts might be a sneaky play.
