Welcome back folks. I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. Can you feel it? NFL starts in two days!!!! I am pretty excited, but I am also a little sad that baseball is winding down. You guys will notice less and less MLB DFS articles, but more NFL content - it's a lose/win situation. Tonight we have a full slate of games, everyone is in action, we got Clayton Kershaw versus the Nationals, and the Giants in Coors. Should be an interesting evening to say the least. So lets dive in to todays menu.
All players pricing based on FanDuel prices.
SP - Mike Minor, Atlanta Braves, $7,400 - If you follow me on twitter you should know how much I dislike Minor - but he is in a good spot today, against a Phillies team who have a lot of left handed bats. I would recommend using him as GPP play.
C - Miguel Montero, Arizona Diamondbacks, $2,400 - Montero loses points based on park factor since he is spacious Petco Park in San Diego, but he does get a weak RHP to tee off of tonight.
1B - Carlos Santana, Cleveland Indians, $3,400 - With Kyle Lobstein taking the mound today for the Tigers, I expect the Indians to a be popular stack, but I see one problem - they don't hit LHP well. Other than Santana and Yan Gomes, nothing really peaks my interest.
2B - Jose Altuve, Houston Astros, $3,800 - Altuve gets a LHP tonight, one that is coming off there disable list (Derek Holland). This is a great spot to use Altuve, even at his price point.
3B - Josh Donaldson, Oakland Athletics, $3,500 - After seeing what the A's did to the Mariners yesterday I feel bad for James Paxton. Donaldson should benefit from this matchup even though Paxton is no slouch.
SS - Elvis Andrus, Texas Rangers, $2,400 - Great price for a shortstop that has enjoyed success of Jeremy Guthrie. Andrus has been a disappointment this season, but is still useful for stolen bases and runs.
OF - Matt Holliday, St. Louis Cardinals, $3,800 - Holliday might be the hottest hitter in baseball right now. This is auto play - especially with Jeff Locke on the mound.
OF - Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates, $3,700 - Tough task at hand tonight for McCutchen with Wainwright starting for the Cardinals but McCutchen has owned him through out his career, and Wainwright has looked awful as of late.
OF - Kole Calhoun, Los Angeles Angels, $3,200 - Brad Peacock takes the mound for the Astros tonight, and he's in big trouble with the hot hitting Angels coming in to H-Town. Calhoun and all his teammates will be highly owned tonight, I like Calhoun more for cash games personally.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
Come join me and other FakeTeam writers along with the whole SB Nation in some DFS fun, turn $2 in to $1200.
