This is the home stretch. Only about 9 games left in the MLB season, and we are going to be grinding it out at least a few more times. As you know by now Wednesday is a split schedule, but we got a lot of action tonight with 13 games on the slate. The best part is the Coors game is part of the early games, so we don't need to tip toe around that game. Let's get in to Wednesday's games, shall we?
All Players Prices Based On FanDuel Pricing
SP - Carlos Carrasco, Cleveland Indians, $7,500 - Carrasco is a nice mid price pitcher who has a great matchup against the Houston Astros. Carrasco has double digit strikeout potential tonight, and offers cap relief with his lowered price.
C - Yan Gomes, Cleveland Indians, $3,100 - Gomes has been excellent all season, tonight he gets to tee off of Brett Oberholzer, a LHP for the Astros. Gomes has great splits against LHP and should be able to take advantage of this matchup.
1B - Lucas Duda, New York Mets, $3,400 - When you don't like any of the options at 1B and are unwilling to pay $5,100 for Miggy, always go with someone you like that has a good matchup. In this case, for me at least it is Duda. He has a good matchup against Henderson Alvarez and the Mets have been mashing the ball lately.
2B - Kolten Wong, St. Louis Cardinals, $2,600 - Mike Fiers takes the mound for the Brewers tonight. I have a hunch that he is still shaken up about the Giancarlo Stanton incident. Take Wong here for cap relief.
3B - David Freese, Los Angeles Angels, $2,800 - This dude is on fire right now. I am not sure why FanDuel hasn't raised his price yet, but I'll take Freese at this price all day every day.
SS - Jose Reyes, Toronto Blue Jays, $3,200 - Shortstop is really thin today, so I decided to go with a guy who won't hurt my lineup too much. He gets a decent matchup against Bud Norris, and Reyes can rack up the points on any given night.
OF - Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angles, $5,500 - Come on, does Mike Trout doesn't need a reason to be in my lineup, if you can fit him in, he should be in it. His matchup is tough with James Paxton, but Trout is matchup proof.
OF - Justin Upton, Atlanta Braves, $3,500 - Upton faces one of his favorite pitchers tonight in Gio Gonzalez. It seems as if every time they square off Upton takes him deep. I hope I didn't jinx Upton by saying that.
OF - Adam Eaton, Chicago White Sox, $3,200 - Eaton kills the Royals for some reason, don't ask me why. A lead off hitter with good speed and base running skills - I view Eaton as a poor mans Jacoby Ellsbury. He usually doesn't disappoint, especially for cash games.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
Come join me and other FakeTeam writers along with the whole SB Nation in some DFS fun, turn $2 in to $1200.
