It's been awhile since I've done a MLB DFS article for you guys, but I am back today for some good ole' MLB action.  It is really difficult to focus on two sports in one season, so bare with me.  Tonight we have a full slate of games, with every team in action.  Lot's of good options tonight, so I tried to nitpick certain plays I don't expect to be targeted too heavy.  I will be back tomorrow with some NFL DFS picks, but for now let's get this MLB article rolling.

All Players Prices Are Based On FanDuel Pricing

SP - Gerrit Cole, Pittsburgh Pirates, $8,100 - Cole gets the Cubs at home tonight.  If you have been paying attention, the Cubs bats have cooled off mightily.  They got owned by two young Blue Jays pitchers (Marcus Stroman & Drew Hutchison).  Cole has double-digit strikeout potential against the lowly Cubs, and at his price point he is worth the gamble.

C - Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals $2,500 - I love the price on Molina.  He is a great cash game play.  With Jorge De La Rosa on the mound for the Cardinals, Yadier should have the platoon advantage.  Molina hasn't himself all season, so let's hope he gets a jolt as the Cardinals make a playoff push.

1B - Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles, $3,200 - Davis is boom or bust.  He should do well tonight against Bryan Mitchell.  The problem with Davis is he either hits a homerun or strikes out 4 times.  He is better served for GPP's tonight.

2B - Robinson Cano, Seattle Mariners, $3,100 - Cano's price keeps slipping, and I'll take it.  Jason "I should have stayed in the NL" Hammel takes the mound for the A's tonight, and Cano should benefit from this matchup.

3B - Evan Longoria, Tampa Bay Rays, $3,500 - Longoria is a monster at Rogers Centre, and a matchup with J.A. Happ is exactly what made me put him here.  The ballpark factor gives Longoria a significant bump in value over other third basement tonight, and he should give us a nice return.

SS - Jean Segura, Milwaukee Brewers, $2,400 - This is clearly a punt play, no shortstops really stand out to me tonight and Segura is as good as it gets at the low end price range.  I'm not expecting a monster game from him, but anything positive would be a plus.

OF - Jose Bautista, Toronto Blue Jays, $4,900 - Joey Bats loves the Friday night lights in his home ballpark.  There is a really good chance he goes deep tonight against Nate Karns - a pitcher who makes a spot start for recently shut down Drew Smyly.  A Jays stack could be the way to go tonight.

OF - Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates, $4,200 - McCutchen is one of the best hitters against LHP in the league, tonight he gets Tsuyoshi Wada.  The Pirates are fighting for their playoff lives and I expect maximum effort from the reigning NL MVP.

OF - Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals, $3,100 - This pick is pretty straight forward - Harper is a Met killer.  Dillon Gee has struggled against the Nationals through out his career, and Harper has caused a lot of pain on him.  At $3,100 you can do a lot worse for your third outfielder.

As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
