This is the first Wednesday in as long as I can remember where there wasn't a major split in the games. We get to play 13 games tonight, with pretty much every "ace" pitching tonight it will surely make for an interesting night. Game selection is where we will prosper, and I've pointed players who you can use in your cash games and GPP's. Good luck tonight and we will be back on Friday.
All players pricing based on FanDuel prices.
SP - Mat Latos, Cincinnati Reds, $7,700 - Latos price has been dropping for no apparent reason, he is starting to come to form and has a great matchup today. The Cubs might be without Anthony Rizzo today who left the game last night with back stiffness, which makes Latos even a great value play.
C - Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants, $3,500 - I am not chasing last nights double dong game, but it's clear that Posey is seeing the ball well right now. Another lefty takes the mound tonight for the Rockies in Franklin Morales, and he might be the worst of the bunch.
1B - Adam LaRoche, Washington Nationals, $3,700 - LaRoche has the platoon advantage against Kyle Kendrick. The Nationals are hot right now, and this game could get really ugly for the Phillies tonight.
2B - Jose Altuve, Houston Astros, $3,400 - Altuve's price has come down a bit as of late, and tonight is a great time to take advantage of it. Drew Pomeranz takes the mound for the A's for the first time since breaking his hand, and this might be a tough spot for him since the Astros' hit LHP far superior to RHP.
3B - Evan Longoria, Tampa Bay Rays, $3,300 - It has been quite a disappointing season for Longoria and the Rays, but they have shown signs of life in the last couple of months. I think Longoria should benefit from the park factor in Baltimore, and makes a nice play for cash and tournaments.
SS - Zach Walters, Cleveland Indians, $2,300 - This guy is the ultimate punt play, I am pretty sure he either hits a homer or goes 0-4, at his price who cares he is worth the risk for GPP's.
OF - Corey Dickerson, Colorado Rockies, $4,100 - It's not often I recommend a Rockies player outside of Coors. But Dickerson annihilates weak RHP, and Tim Hudson has been absolutely "meh" as of late.
OF - Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles, $3,700 - I am a big Smyly fan, and I think he will get the job done today, but Adam Jones against a LHP is a great play for tournaments and can't be overlooked.
OF - Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds, $3,300 - You guys must really think I have a man crush on Bruce - I don't, I just know which spots to use him in. Tonight is one of those nights, with Jacob Turner making a start for the Cubs, all Reds bats should be considered.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
