Welcome back readers, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I thought I would take a second to thank everyone for toughing it out to this point of the season. I know a lot of people are starting to care less and less for MLB, with the NFL being around the corner. We got a small slate of games tonight, but let's make the best of it.
All Players Prices Are Based On FanDuel Pricing
SP - Jordan Zimmermann, Washington Nationals, $8,800 - Not really a lot to like in the pitchers pool tonight, I wouldn't get ballsy and stray from Zimmermann or Sale in cash games personally. Zimmermann gets a great matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks who have been atrocious offensively as of late. I guess that happens when you trade away two of your top hitters, and your franchise player is out for the year.
C - Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals, $2,700 - Perez splits are the opposite of what they have been in the past. He is hitting better against RHP this season, which is odd since he is known to be a "lefty crusher". Today he takes on Trevor May of the Minnesota Twins, who made his MLB debut last week against Oakland, and it wasn't pretty. If the Royals hot hitting continues May's follow up might be uglier than his debut.
1B - Matt Adams, St. Louis Cardinals, $2,800 - Not exactly sure why Adams' price is low, he keeps producing well enough to be at least a $3,000 player. There is a lot to like about Adams, especially his .435 wOBA against RHP at home. At this price you can't go wrong.
2B - Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox, $3,300 - Pedroia hasn't shown much power the last couple of seasons, but he draws a good matchup against C.J Wilson today. Pedroia has great numbers career wise against Wilson, which include a homer, six RBIs and four extra base hits.
3B - Kyle Seager, Seattle Mariners, $3,100 - Seager in Philly, against Jerome Williams, do you see where I am going with this? If you can fit Cano in your lineup also, go ahead; sprinkle some Morales and Ackley as well.
SS - Ian Desmond, Washington Nationals, $3,700 - It wouldn't be a Dug Fister article without me picking on Vidal Nuno right? I had to squeeze at least one Nationals righty in here.
OF - Yoenis Cespedes, Boston Red Sox, $3,900 - I recommended Cespedes on Friday, he hit a jack. Today he gets C.J Wilson, a pitcher he is very familiar with since they were in the same division for years. Cespedes is definitely someone you should target tonight.
OF - Kole Calhoun, Los Angeles Angels, $3,400 - Calhoun continues to go on under the radar in Roto, but he is a DFS stud. He won a lot of money for people on Friday, so hopefully he takes advantage of his matchup against Brandon Workman tonight in Boston.
OF - Alex Gordon, Kansas City Royals, $3,300 - Gordon continues to rake in the midst of the Royals hot streak, capitalize on it while you can, the flame is bound to burn out.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
Come join me and other FakeTeam writers along with the whole SB Nation in some DFS fun, turn $2 in to $1200.
