EPL Preview: Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City

Continuing our EPL fantasy previews

Paul Thomas

Let's continue our EPL fantasy preview with Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and mighty Stoke City.

Southampton

Key Player to Watch: Jay Rodriguez. 21 goals in 68 appearances?  That's not bad. Let's see if that performance translates to the top tier.

Good Bet: Morgan Schniederlin. Once again, the Frenchman is new to the EPL and top-class competition

Stay Away: Steven Davis. The former Fulham and Aston Villa player gets back to the EPL, but his production has been declining.

In Goal: Artur Boruc. If his defense doesn't fail in front of him, he could be a great sleeper pick.

Tottenham Hotspur

Key Player to Watch: Mousa Dembélé. He can be great at times. Needs to step up for Spurs.

Risky Business: Emmanuel Adebayor. My good friend Sean Byrne texts me about Adebayor at least twice a match. It is not always good.

Good Bet: Lewis Holtby. A solid choice.

In Goal: Hugo Lloris. He had a solid World Cup and is a better damn good keeper.

Stoke City

Key Player to Watch: SIDWELL!!!!!  NOOOOOOO!!!!  You broke my heart, Steve. You broke my heart!  But seriously, he had a solid season last year.

Old, But Can Still Perform: Peter Crouch. I want him to go back to the days of acting like the sideline is cocaine and sniffing it after he scores.

U-S-A, U-S-A: Brek Shea. Will he sniff the pitch?

In Goal: Asmir Begovic. The Bosnian and Herzegovinian (is that even right?) is another solid goalkeeper that I trust more than de Gea. I could be wrong, of course.
