Middle of the week has arrived, and so have the split slates. I will focus on the night slate, as I usually do, since there are more games. Tons of great pitching options tonight, so it was a tough call to make, but I am confident he's the one. I am going to keep the intro short and sweet, since I don't have much to say at 3:AM. Good luck tomorrow.
All Players Prices Are Based On FanDuel Pricing
SP - Zack Greinke, Los Angeles Dodgers, $9,800 - Lot's of good pitchers available tonight, but I like Greinke the most. The Braves struggle to hit on the road, and they struggle even more against RHP. Greinke could end up with double-digit strikeouts tonight, and I wouldn't be shocked. A side note, I wouldn't be scared to use Brett Anderson tonight in tournaments, he could have a big game with tons of cap relief.
C - Wilin Rosario, Colorado Rockies, $3,000 - I like Rosario a lot tonight, he is priced reasonably, and has mega power. He should also benefit from the soft tossing LHP Travis Wood. Depending on which direction the wind is blowing, it could be a big night for Rosario.
1B - Mike Napoli, Boston Red Sox, $3,600 - I am not 100% sure he will be in the lineup today, but if he is plug him in. Buehrle has been regressing big time, and has .459 wOBA at home against LHP. This could get ugly quick for both sides.
2B - Emilio Bonifacio, Chicago Cubs, $2,700 - If it ain't broke don't fix it. Bonifacio is a triple away from the cycle (the game is still going on as I am writing this at 2:22 am).
3B - Nolan Arenado, Colorado Rockies, $3,200 - It's not often you see Rockies players recommended outside of Coors Field, but today you get two. Arenado is in beast mode right now, and he like Rosario should crush Wood today - no pun intended.
SS - Derek Jeter, New York Yankees, $2,600 - For some reason Jeter kills Texas pitching, and today he faces Colby Lewis who struggles against all hitters. Given the price, ballpark and history, this is a good pick to save some dough.
OF - Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles Dodgers, $3,900 - I am not chasing yesterday's performance, but I think Puig is starting to heat up. Alex Wood has proven to be very hittable after he burned everyone last week against the Padres. If you don't want to spend on Puig, you can go Kemp in this situation.
OF - Colby Rasmus, Toronto Blue Jays, $3,100 - Rasmus is in the zone right now, and I will plug him in my lineups against crappy RHP everyday in hitters ballparks. He hit a homer yesterday, and I won't be surprised if he goes deep again.
OF - Josh Hamilton, Los Angeles Angels, $3,000 - Interesting fact about Hamilton - all his homers have come on the road this season. Although he hasn't hit many, Camden Yards is a great place for him to hit. Ironically Kevin Gausman is worse at home according to his home/road splits. Hamilton batting cleanup in a lineup that has Calhoun, Trout, and Pujols ahead of him is always a bonus as well.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
