Full slate of games tonight, which means plenty of options. I didn't give any obvious picks as usual, but I will mention a few teams that are stack worthy. The Blue Jays are obviously going to be targeted heavily tonight, I expect the Athletics to be targeted as well tonight. I mentioned in the article I like the Yankees, and Dodgers. A contrarian stack would be Reds' hitter's against Trevor Cahill. But the way the Reds have been playing as of late, I might have to pass. Let's get to business though, and enjoy your Tuesday.
All Players Prices Are Based On FanDuel Pricing
SP - Stephen Strasburg, Washington Nationals, $9,400 - I like Strasburg for two reasons. First off I expect people to be a little scared off by his last outing in Dade County, and secondly these aren't the same Marlins he faced then. The team with the highest strikeout rate against RHP shouldn't scare one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball.
C - Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants, $3,600 - Posey and the anemic Giants offense get to face Francisco Liriano tonight. After Lance Worely shut out the Giants I expect them to come out swinging tonight.
1B - Adrian Gonzalez, Los Angeles Dodgers, $3,600 - One of the hotter hitters, get's one of more hittable pitchers tonight in Aaron Harang. Gonzalez has owned Harangatang in his career; mix that with his recent hot hitting, this could be a nice night for A-Gon.
2B - Emilio Bonifacio, Chicago Cubs, $2,600 - This could be his last game as a Cubs player, so make sure he hasn't been traded before the game. I love the matchup against Jorge De La Rosa. Bonifacio can get on base, and cause terror, at his price it's well worth it.
3B - David Wright, New York Mets, $3,100 - Captain America usually screws me over, but I like his matchup against Cole Hamels tonight. The Mets have been crushing pitchers lately.... Well maybe not lately but they did make A.J. Burnett look like a member of the Rangers rotation last night, more on that later.
SS - Starlin Castro, Chicago Cubs, $2,600 - Another Cubs player makes my favorite plays of the day. He was recommended yesterday, and was fairly decent. Lets see if he can continue his momentum from last night.
OF - Jacoby Ellsbury, New York Yankees, $3,900 - Ellsbury has the night off last night, so he should be nice and fresh today. The Yankees get to have batting practice off Nick Martinez tonight, and I will recommend stacking them in tournaments tonight.
OF - Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals, $3,200 - Why is the bust of the year on my list? Because I think he is about to break loose. He has mangled Henderson Alvarez in his career, and if I recall correctly Harper almost hit for the cycle off him in April or May.
OF - Matt Kemp, Los Angeles Dodgers, $3,000 - Another Dodger makes the list. I bet my editor is so proud of me. Kemp has improved as of late, and should be in the lineup tonight against Harang. I won't go as far as saying stack Dodgers, but this seems like a good matchup for the boys in blue.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
