Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

We are approaching the end of the week, and here come the game splits.  I decided to focus on the late games for today since there are 9 games total, and no Coors Field.  Let me backtrack a bit for a second, and tell you what I discovered yesterday.  I logged in to FanDuel, and saw that they put up their NFL tournaments!!! Player pricing and all.  I am pretty excited for the NFL season; I think I am slowly getting burnt out with all these baseball statistics.  I am going to look over the rules, player pricing and tinker with lineups, and try and release a mock entry for you awesome readers.  But back to baseball, here are my top plays for tonight.

All players prices are based on FanDuel pricing

SP - Jered Weaver, Los Angeles Angels, $7,500 - Weaver has a tough assignment tonight against the Baltimore Orioles - the team with the best road hitting stats in baseball.  With the previous statement have no fear, Weaver is as good as it gets at home, and I am confident in a strong outing.

C - John Jaso, Oakland Athletics, $3,200 - My go to catcher versus right handed pitching gets a sweet matchup tonight against Brad Peacock.  Jaso is hot right now, and his price reflects it.  I like the A's tonight, but won't overload them in this article.

1B - Brandon Moss, Oakland Athletics, $3,900 - Oh look another Oakland player, don't worry, he's the last one in the article - I promise.  Moss has slowed down as of late, but as mentioned with Jaso, I really like Oakland tonight, given our options.

2B - Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox, $2,700 - Pedroia is cold as ice, why is he on our list? One reason is pricing, another reason is his opponent - R.A. Dickey.  This game could be a slugfest like the last two nights, and Pedroia's skill and price are too difficult to pass on.

3B - Pablo Sandoval, San Francisco Giants, $3,300 - Sandoval is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum from Pedroia - in size, and hitting.  Sandoval is on fire, and although A.J. Burnett has been pretty solid, I really like Panda in this spot.

SS - Jose Reyes, Toronto Blue Jays, $3,400 - Reyes is the best option on the board tonight, assuming Hanley isn't playing.  He has a favorable matchup against Clay Bucholz, and can earn us points in more ways than one.  Hopefully Reyes can repeat last night's performance for maximum value.

OF - Giancarlo Stanton, Miami Marlins, $4,500 - Giancarlo Michael Cruz Stanton has a nice matchup today against Ervin Santana.  Santana being a fly ball pitcher isn't going to work against Stanton, and I don't care about splits or ballpark factors, Stanton can crush the ball out of any park.

OF - Jason Heyward, Atlanta Braves, $3,300 - Heyward makes the cut based on his history against the Marlins, he absolutely destroys their pitching.  Tonight Nate Eovaldi takes the mound, who I kind of like as a tourney play, but I still think Heyward benefits off this matchup.  Heyward can hit for power, steal bases, and more.

OF - Gregory Polanco, Pittsburgh Pirates, $3,100 - Another team I like tonight is the Pirates.  Let's face it - Dan Haren is terrible.  Polanco seems to have found his stroke again, and will look to continue the momentum from last night against Haren.  Like most players I mentioned today Polanco can earn points in many ways.

As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.

Come join me and other FakeTeam writers along with the whole SB Nation in some DFS fun, turn $2 in to $1200.
