DFS: DraftKings Top Plays For Sunday June 8th

The daily fantasy grind never stops. Here are our recommended plays for Sunday's DraftKings lineups.

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Hope you guys are having an awesome weekend. If you are not then hopefully reading this awesome road map helps cheer you up.  I usually don't write on weekends, but there will a popup DFS lineup here and there if I miss a day during the week.  I am going to keep the intro short since I want to get back to watching "Orange Is The New Black" on Netflix.  So here we go.

All players' prices based on DraftKings values

SP 1 - Jordan Zimmermann, Washington Nationals, $7,700 - Zimmermann will be a popular play today against the Padres since they made Tanner Roark look like the second coming of Nolan Ryan, the Padres are a must fade.

SP 2 - Homer Bailey, Cincinnati Reds, $8,100 - The Phillies aren't particularly scary, and Bailey seems to have gotten his *censored* together, feel free to play Bailey at home.

C - Yan Gomes, Cleveland Indians, $3,600 - Gomes had a nice game yesterday, and I expect the same today against lefty Joe Saunders.

1B - Edwin Encarnacion, Toronto Blue Jays, $5,200 - Poor Jaime Garcia, he has to follow up a three hit gem from Shelby Miller against the best offensive team in baseball.  I expect the Jays to take out their anger out on Jaime today, pay the price for Edwin.

2B - Ian Kinsler, Detroit Tigers, $4,800 - Probably the hottest hitting second basemen in baseball right now, it is hard to fade Kinsler, even if John Lackey has been outstanding thus far.

3B - Justin Turner, Los Angeles Dodgers, $3,100 - This is a spec play, I expect Turner to play since a lefty is on the mound for the Rockies, and Dee Gordon might need a day or two off.

SS - Asdrubal Cabrera, Cleveland Indians, $4,100 - Asdrubal has homered in 2 of his last 3 games, and as mentioned with Gomes, gets to face Joe Saunders in Texas, the more I think of it, the more I like Indian bats today.

OF 1 - Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates, $5,100 - Another player who has hit homers in 2 of his last 3 games is the reigning NL MVP.  The Pirates face Yovani Gallardo today who seems to be trending downwards, go with the MVP.

OF 2 - Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles, $4,600 - Oh look another player who has homered in 2 of his last 3 games, you get where I'm going here.  If you read the Friday article you should know Jones is a lefty killer, and is a must play.

OF 3 - Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds, $3,400 - Bruce hasn't homered in 2 of his last 3 games,  but he did hit one yesterday, and seems to be starting to heat up, I love the price (all we could afford anyways), so I'm going to milk it until he is back to elite OF pricing.

As always be sure to check the weather in the city your players are playing in. Don't forget to check lineups either, nothing worse than having a rostered player on your squad that isn't in the lineup
