DFS: DraftKings Lineups for Wednesday, May 7th

The daily fantasy grind never stops. Here are our recommended plays for Wednesday's DraftKings lineups.

Jared Wickerham

The Texas Rangers are really starting to tick me off!!!!! Sorry had to get that off my chest, after two subpar outings in Colorado they have made me turn gray - and oh what a beautiful head of hair I have.  Today DraftKings split the card in to two and I've decided to go with the late games and completely avoid the Colorado/Texas game.  There are some juicy matchups for us - they focus mainly on the Yankees/Angels and Rays/Orioles.  I forecast these two games as being two of the higher scoring games today - without looking at the Vegas lines.

PS: I put a picture of a player not in our lineup due to the reason of me jinxing the player when I use his picture.  I picked someone I expect to be be highly drafted tonight so he gets jinxed.

All players' prices based on DraftKings values

SP 1 - Travis Wood, Chicago Cubs, $8,700 - Let's face it - the Chicago White Sox can't hit left handed pitching, and Wood is pretty underrated.  Wood has high strikeout potential, especially against the White Sox tonight.  Given the pitching options tonight and the price point, I'll gladly take Wood.

SP 2 - Rick Porcello, Detroit Tigers, $8,100 - Porcello gets the whiff happy Astros tonight, and I love this price.  Look at what Robbie Ray did to the Astros last night, and I believe Porcello has the better pedigree of the two.

C - Yan Gomes, Cleveland Indians, $2,900 - Pretty much a punt play. I'm looking to pick on Ricky Nolasco, even though Gomes isn't known to mash off righties like he does off lefties.

1B - Albert Pujols, Los Angeles Angels, $5,200 - I'm not sure if Pujols really needs an explanation tonight.  Pujols faces Vidal Nuno tonight, who has a 6.87 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP - should be a long night in Anaheim.

2B - Ben Zobrist, Tampa Bay Rays, $3,800 - Zobrists' price is too good to pass up tonight against Bud Norris, I like that he bats high in the order usually, and this game has the potential of being a slugfest.

3B - Manny Machado, Baltimore Orioles, $3,700 - Machado hasn't broken out yet, but Cesar Ramos can help his cause tonight.  Machado is a good source for doubles and runs, with the potential of some power; at this price you can't go wrong.

SS - Erick Aybar, Los Angeles Angels, $3,900 - Yes I am bullying Vidal Nuno tonight with our lineup.  Aybar is a switch a hitter who has been producing quite well so far this season.  You could easily slot Derek Jeter here as well as I expect both teams to put up a lot of runs.

OF 1 - Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels, $5,700 - If Pujols didn't need an explanation why would the best player in baseball need one? Ok you want one - because Vidal Nuno.

OF 2 - Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles, $4,000 - Jones is due for a big gam.  I can feel it. At this price I will put him in my lineup every night.  He has to get it going at some point, hopefully it is tonight.

OF 3 - Emilio Bonifacio, Chicago Cubs, $3,800 - Bonifacio has been excellent so far this year.  I really think he belongs in the National League.  Tonight he gets John Danks, who people in the industry love to stack players again, but Danks hasn't been too bad this season.  Anyways I'm arguing against my point - Bonifacio hits well, can get a couple bags, and runs. Take the Cub tonight.

As always be sure to check the weather in the city your players are playing in. Don't forget to check lineups either, nothing worse than having a rostered player on your squad that isn't in the lineup.
