DFS: DraftKings Lineups for Monday, May 5th

The daily fantasy grind never stops. Here are our recommended plays for Monday's DraftKings lineups.

Jeff Gross

What a crazy weekend of baseball we just had.  Jon Lester struck out 15 Oakland batters on Saturday, Darvish almost took Pujols' head off on Sunday, and Wil Myers hit an inside the park homerun.  If you followed my plays on Saturday, you most likely won some decent cash.  We had a great weekend over here at FakeTeams, and will look to continue bringing the reads the best lineups possible.  It's Monday so lets start the week off right, with a winning lineup.

All players' prices based on DraftKings values

SP 1 - Nathan Eovaldi, Miami Marlins, $9,200 - Eovaldi has been very effiecent so far this season, he is averaging about 20 fantasy points per game, and faces a Mets team that is travelling all the way from Colorado tonight.  I like this play a lot since the Mets are a team that strikes out a lot.

SP 2 - Scott Kazmir, Oakland Athletics, $10,000 - The Mariners can't hit lefties to save their lives.  Kazmir was an easy play. I could have easily rostered Max Scherzer, but where is the fun in that?  I'm pretty confident Scherzer will be on the majority of the rosters tonight, so lets switch it up.

C - Texas Rangers - Not sure which one of the catchers will play tonight, but Robinson Chirinos is priced at $3,300 and J.P Arencibia is priced at $3,500.  Pick whoever is playing tonight.

1B - C.J Cron, Los Angeles Angels, $3,300 - Cron is the heir apparent to Mark Trumbo in Anaheim.  I love this kid; I drafted him in my NFBC league.  We needed a bit of cap relief so I went with the youngster that faces David Phelps tonight.

2B - Chris Getz, Toronto Blue Jays, $3,400 - Getz is an intriguing punt play, he is someone who should get more playing time in my opinion, but managers don't know how to use him correctly.  He is a nuisance when he is on base, and has potential to score runs.

3B - Adrian Beltre, Texas Rangers, $4,500 - Beltre in Coors Field is a DFS players' wet dream.  Not much to explain here, this is the highest O/U total in Vegas tonight, and I will be adding as many Rangers as I can to my roster.

SS - Elvis Andrus, $4,200 - Andrus is on the roster for the same reason as Beltre, I am not expecting power from Andrus - but you never know in Coors.  Look for Andrus to be one of the top shortstop performers tonight.

OF 1 - Marlon Byrd, Philadelphia Phillies, $4,100 - Byrd gets J.A Happ of the Toronto Blue Jays tonight, a mediocre left-handed pitcher, and that's being nice.  I won't be shocked if Byrd has a monster game tonight.

OF 2 - Alex Rios, Texas Rangers, $4,500 - See Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus.

OF 3 - Colby Rasmus, Toronto Blue Jays, $3,400 - Rasmus is an all or nothing hitter.  Historically he has enjoyed success off of Kyle Kendrick with a .364 batting average, one homer, and three RBIs.  At this price I'll take the gamble on Rasmus.

As always be sure to check the weather in the city your players are playing in.  Don't forget to check lineups either, nothing worse than having a rostered player on your squad that isn't in the lineup.
