EPL Fantasy Preview: Match Week 28

Looking at who to play and who to bench this weekend.

Scott Heavey

Is it true? We only have 11 more matches to play in the Premier League season? Where has the time gone? It feels like only yesterday that I was introducing myself to you, the Fake Team readers. Sadly enough, I have written more columns than Fulham has points. (Note: There are only 8 matches this weekend.)

Goalkeepers

  • Petr Cech (Chelsea) - This could be a massacre in the West London derby. Expect Cech to have enough time to read the tabs while Chelsea controls possession. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Kelvin Davis (Southampton) - The Killer S's of Liverpool are traveling to St. Mary's Stadium. BEWARE! (VERDICT: BENCH)

Defenders

  • Robert Huth (Stoke City) - Huth returns for mighty Stoke in time to face an Arsenal side fighting for the top of the table. The good thing for Huth is that Arsenal doesn't have a quality striker. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Brede Hangeland (Fulham) - Sigh. (VERDICT: BENCH)
  • Joe Bennett (Aston Villa) - When there is a column about you suggesting you need coaching, not booing, you are not having a great season. (VERDICT: BENCH)
  • Curtis Davies (Hull City) - His dreams of making the England squad for the World Cup might be over, but he will continue to be a force of a defender for the Tigers. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Tony Hibbert (Everton) - The man just turned 33 and is still playing quite well. (VERDICT: PLAY)

Midfielders

  • Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) - Has he recovered his confidence? I think so. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Frank Lampard (Chelsea) - I absolutely despise Chelsea, but I respect Lampard. Great player, easy opponent. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Robert Snodgrass (Norwich City) - This guy is not too popular with these two men right now. (VERDICT: BENCH)
  • Hatem Ben Arfa (Newcastle) - Look who decided to show up to the party! (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Wayne Routledge (Swansea City) - The Englishman will add to Crystal Palace's misery. (VERDICT: PLAY)

Forwards

  • Eden Hazard (Chelsea) - My grandmother could score against Fulham. Hazard will have at least a brace. STULTZ GUARANTEE OF THE WEEK! (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Robin van Persie (Manchester United) - DOESN'T PLAY THIS WEEK!!!! (VERDICT: DUH!)
  • Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) - I was on the bandwagon but picked against him last week. That was dumb. I will never doubt you again Mr. Sturridge. (VERDICT: PLAY)
  • Christian Benteke (Aston Villa) - The Villains are in a relegation battle. I am expecting Benteke to take care of that for them. (VERDICT: PLAY)

As always, feel free to email me or Tweet me if you have any questions or comments. You can also add comments down below. Have a great weekend!!!
