Week 14 Tight End Rankings

Going into the fantasy playoffs means you need to find a TE to give you some production. Robert has his week 14 ranks to help you find the guy to make sure you live to see another week.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

With the fantasy playoffs starting in most leagues, that means you have little room for error the rest of the season.  Every week there are a few TE's from the middle class that have a nice game which can help you win, but others that put up 2 points or less for you.  Jimmy Graham owners I hope you were still able to make the playoffs even with his zero target game.  Maybe that was for the best it happened last week instead of this week when the playoffs are going.  There is no real explanation as to why Graham wasn't targeted last game, seeing as he was healthy and played in over half the snaps.  This was just one of those games I guess, just like Jamaal Charles during the first week of the season.  Now is not the time to over-think a lineup decision.  Start the guys who are ranked higher, or with what your gut is telling you.  Remember we play this because it is fun, and if you will enjoy it more going with you gut, then that is what you should do.

With that, lets dive into my top 32 TE rankings, with some commentary on guys that standout as well.  Good luck to you and hopefully you get that win.

Julius Thomas - I think that Thomas will in fact play this week, but if he doesn't, I would rank Jacob Tamme in the mid 20's, so it won't be worthwhile to have Tamme on your roster in case he is inactive.  There are better options out there to use instead.

Jordan Reed - As I mentioned yesterday in the WR rankings, Colt McCoy is going throw the ball to his main targets.  This is great news for DeSean Jackson, and also Jordan Reed.  Over the past few weeks, Reed has been on an elevator in my rankings going from up high to down low.  Now that McCoy is behind center, he will stick in the top 10 as the targets and opportunities will be abundant.

Coby Fleener - If Dwayne Allen is ruled out again this week like the last two, he would rank at #6 just ahead of Jason Witten.  We saw what he is capable of last week when given all of the work, but my guess is that Allen does play this week, so the rankings below reflect that.

Jordan Cameron - He has the skills to be in the top 10 this week, but the injury status still worries me.  I bet he does suit up and play this week, but how many offensive snaps will he see?  Will Cameron even make it through a full game?  These questions have pushed him down to #18 in the rankings, and it looks like it will be tough for him to move up further in the coming weeks.

John Carlson - Last week I talked about the Tim Wright line that I am incorporating, and now this week I have the John Carlson line.  Every week he seems to be hovering around 3 points, so wherever he is in the rankings, means I think the guys behind him have almost no shot of getting more points than that.  The guys who are ranked ahead of him though I think have a better chance, and the potential to put up a better game than 3 points.
