If you are still looking at these rankings, that means you are still alive in the fantasy playoffs. Last week saw some of the top guys put up awful performances. Who would have thought that Peyton Manning would put up one of his worst games with the Broncos when you needed it the most. Because of this, Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders were unable to provide help for you last week. Do not overreact to this, as that is when you will make decisions that come back to haunt you. The Thursday night game doesn't have any receiver of real importance, but Monday night has a few guys that could help you overcome a double digit deficit to win this week. As my rankings have gone all year, you start the guy who is ranked the highest.
With that, lets get into my top 50 WR rankings, with some commentary on guys that I feel standout by where I have them ranked.
Randall Cobb - After what started out as an amazing run, Cobb has now gone four straight games without a TD. His receptions during this four game span has been above his average from earlier this year, but his value has taken a hit without the scores. While in the beginning of the year he was a top ten, even a top 5, option at receiver, he is now outside of the top ten the rest of the way. I don't see him scoring in this game, but he should be able to rack up the yards, with a chance at scoring a TD.
Keenan Allen - I have Allen ranked higher this week than I did last week, even after his awful performance on Sunday night against the Patriots. The reason for this is because I would have ranked Allen around this area last week if he didn't have to go up against Darrelle Revis. Now that he gets to go up against the Broncos, the same defense that just got torched by Sammy Watkins, I expect him to get back to the pace he was on from the previous few games.
Donte Moncrief and Martavis Bryant - Some leagues have two week matchups, and if you need a miracle in week 15 to try and win that matchup, these two guys might be able to help. When dealing with a two week matchup, the rankings may not suit what you need. Say you are down big, would it really be better to play someone like Marques Colston who's upside is limited, or go with the big upside guys in Moncrief and Bryant. I like Moncrief the most out of these two, but they both have that potential against some porous secondaries on Sunday.
Philly Brown - While he is questionable right now for week 15, I belive that he will play and present almost as much upside as the two guys mentioned above. Brown also has a great matchup this week, and the way he has been involved in the offense the last three weeks leads me to believe this could be his breakout week. The downside is him going the entire game with only one catch for 7 yards, but his pure speed has his upside in the 100+ yards and a TD or two category. If you want to take a risk on a guy available in almost every league, Brown may be your guy.
