Week 13 is here, which means the bye week gauntlet is finally over. For those that are still in contention, hopefully you are lucky enough to have Rodgers, Peyton, or Luck to get you through the fantasy playoffs. If you aren't that fortunate because you struck out on drafting Foles, Ryan, Kaepernick, or Griffin or have been struggling through the inconsistency of Stafford, Cutler, and Rivers, there is still hope.
There are a few quarterbacks that might even be sitting on your waiver wire that are capable of leading your fantasy team to the championship. These quarterbacks have been good streaming options until now, but with their schedule for the rest of the season, they could be the QB1 that you're searching for to lock into your roster for the rest of the season.
Ryan Tannehill has already been performing as a QB1 and looks to be getting into even more of a rhythm with his receivers, but his greatest value comes from his rushing yards that has become a critical piece to the Dolphins' game plan. If he is still available in your league, he would be a must add with the Jets, Ravens, Patriots, and Vikings coming up on the schedule.
Eli Manning always has the potential to have enough turnovers in any game to ruin a fantasy day, but with the emergence of Odell Beckham, he also has the potential of putting up big numbers against any defense. If those upcoming defenses include the Jaguars, Titans, Redskins, and Rams, he has a great chance of entering into the QB1 conversation through the end of the season.
Zach Mettenberger has no fear to chuck up the ball and let his receivers make plays. With a healthy Delanie Walker and an improving Justin Hunter, this strategy has been successful for fantasy numbers. Mett and the Titans finish off the fantasy schedule against the Texans, Giants, Jets, and Jaguars. As the Titans' defense and running game continue to struggle, Mett will just have to keep on chuckin'.
For most, this is a very important week that will decide if you move on to the playoffs, or spend the next few months acting like fantasy football is the most worthless game in the world and you never cared about it in the first place. So good luck to all and may your fantasy football lives continue on so that you can put off acting like you're interested in basketball or hockey for another few weeks.
