Week 6 Quarterback Rankings

You can't go wrong with a Manning in your lineup this week. But what about the majority of the other quarterbacks that have not displayed any amount consistency to this point in the season? Find out who you can trust heading into the week 6 matchups.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Manning brothers have been lighting up their opponents in recent weeks, while most other quarterbacks have been very inconsistent at best. If you are not lucky enough to have a Manning, Rivers, Luck, or Wilson on your roster to give you the "set it and forget it" comfort on a weekly basis, making a lineup decision could be very difficult this week. We are forced make this decision by dissecting patterns and tendencies in an attempt to obtain the best possible prediction of how these erratic quarterbacks will perform this week - or we just shrug our shoulders and flip a coin. While both methods can be effective in fantasy football, let's attempt to gain a little more clarity on these perplexing players before you base your fantasy football life on heads or tails.

Here are some of the internal debates that fantasy owners should be having with these quarterbacks:

Kirk Cousins had a brilliant start against the Eagles, fell flat on his face against the Giants, and then nearly led the Redskins to a win against the World Champion Seahawks. So is he due for another epic failure against Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie this week or will he continue to improve and tighten his grip on the starting job in Washington?

Tony Romo is the definition of erratic but was actually clutch against the Texans on Sunday with a couple deep bombs that essentially won the game. Can he match Kirk Cousins' production against the Seahawks when he faces them this week in Seattle?

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense seem to have gotten into a rhythm after being shut down by top defenses in Seattle and Detroit. Will this success continue against another top defense in Miami that is coming off of a bye week?

Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers have been playing to the level of their competition this season. Could this be a good thing for him considering the level that Brian Hoyer and the Browns have been playing recently?

What can we expect from Stafford, Foles, Brady, & Flacco who have all been maddeningly inconsistent throughout this season without much rhyme or reason for their week-to-week performances?

Below, you will see where I side on these questions based on the rankings of how I believe the performances of the quarterbacks will play out this week. The player ranked the highest is the one that I would prefer to have in my starting lineup. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments section and I will reply to them as soon as possible.
