This weekly feature will take a look at some sleepers at each position who could help fantasy teams win their weekly matchup. To determine the sleepers, I will be using the fantasy points allowed at each position statistics, courtesy of AsktheCommish.com.
For week 8, I will use the fantasy points allowed this season, so we are getting a good idea as to which team defenses are allowing the most fantasy points at each position.
Sleeper Performance: Week 7
Quarterback: Brian Hoyer, Browns vs Jaguars - 16-41, 215 yards, 1 INT, 0 TDs
Running Back: Justin Forsett, Ravens vs Falcons - 23 rushes, 95 yards, 0 TDs
Wide Receiver: Andre Holmes, Raiders vs Cardinals - 3 catches. 34 yards. 0 TDs
Tight End: Larry Donnell, Giants vs Cowboys - 7 catches, 90 yards, 0 TDs
Fantasy Points Allowed: Year to Date
Below you will find a table (courtesy of Ask the Commish) that lists, by team defense, the fantasy points each team defense has allowed to opposing quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
I have selected my sleeper picks based on the fantasy points allowed through the first six weeks of the season, assuming the trend (allowing more fantasy points) continues.

Week 8 Sleepers
Quarterback
Carson Palmer, Cardinals vs Eagles
Palmer is coming off a game where he was 22-31 for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns on the road in Oakland in Week 7. This week, he faces an Eagles defense that is ranked 29th in fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs, giving up almost 21 points per game. Palmer should enjoy another two touchdown day in Week 8.
Running Back
Jerick McKinnon, Vikings vs Buccaneers
McKinnon ran 19 times for 103 yards in the Vikings 17-16 loss to the Bills on Sunday, his second 100+ yard game in his four starts thus far. This week, he gets to face the Buccaneers run defense that ranks 28th in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season. McKinnon has yet to score a TD, so he is due, while the Tampa Bay defense has given up 7 rushing touchdowns this season.
Wide Receiver
Percy Harvin, Jets vs Bills
Harvin was traded to the Jets last Friday due to anger management issues, but he gets a chance to redeem himself in Week 8 vs the Bills defense that ranks 28th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. Harvin will be suiting up for his first game as a Jet with the chance to improve upon his disappointing season to date. Harvin has caught 22 of his 26 targets for just 133 yards and no touchdowns. That could change on Sunday, as he is the Jets best offensive player and should see plenty of targets.
Tight End
Kelce was barely used in Week 7 vs the Chargers, but caught two passes on the drive that led to the game-winning field goal. He may not be a sleeper, but he has yet to have that breakout game this season. The Chiefs passing offense has little behind WR Dwayne Bowe, and Kelce is one of the more talented tight ends in the league, so I can see the Chiefs using him more in their passing game going forward.
