Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings

Need some help with your roster for week 7? Check out our WR rankings here to help you make decisions to win this week.

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

Hopefully your seasons have been going well up to this point.  If you think you have been having a great season so far, don't get too confident as suprise injuries can happen to anyone.  Same goes for those of you who may not be in a great spot right now.  This is the time to make that ground back up, as no one is out of the playoff race yet.  You may need to be savvy with your waiver-wire pickups, or pull of a couple of trades to enhance your team, but now is not the time to throw in the towel.  Having the safe reliable guys on your bench is not always the best strategy for you, as you need to have those breakout potential guys to win your league.  By taking a chance on someone with high upside, you afford yourself the chance to hit it big later in the year, when the fantasy playoffs are in action.  Don't get rid of all the "safe" players on your roster for high upside guys, but you do need to pickup a couple of those lottery tickets, just in case they prove to be the real deal.  Remember that there are two teams on bye this week, which I will have listed below.  With that, let's take a look at the rankings and comments on a few of the guys.

Brandon Marshall - I feel confident enough in what I saw out of Marshall last week to put him back into my top ten this week, and going forward.  I wanted to see that he was fully recovered from his injury, and now he looks that way.  Trust in him going forward as he will put up the numbers you though when drafting him.

Julian Edelman - I don't feel good about ranking Edelman this high, but his matchup is just too good.  This could be my worst pick of the week putting him in the top 20, but Tom Brady appears to be finding his form finally.  Had a nice game last week, and I am expecting the same out of him again this week.

James Jones - How many more times am I going to write about James Jones in articles?  Enough until you guys get the message as I see him on the waiver wire in leagues, and barely being started right now.  What he has been doing so far this year is legit, and will continue to happen.  He has great talent, and Derrick Carr is competent enough to throw him the ball.  His matchup this week also helps out his ranking.

Cecil Shorts III - Wasn't ranked last week, as I figured he wasn't going to play.  Well he went out and played and finished the entire game without getting hurt.  In the process, he finished with over 100 yards receiving on the day.  His talent isn't the question, but rather his health.  I feel as though he can be trusted for now, but he will always be an injury risk.

Justin Hunter - This will be his big breakout game I think.  He has been getting almost every offensive snap lately, and is being targeted deep down the field.  The QB situation will always be a question mark, but his talent is too good to ignore.  Would rank higher if the possibility for a two point fantasy performance wasn't realistic as well.

Eric Decker - Revis Island anyone?  Decker has proved to be a very solid Wide Out this year when healthy, and will rank higher than this going forward as he has to go against the Patriots this week.  This means that Revis will be on him for most, if not all of this game, severely limiting his upside.  Still has a good chance of reaching the endzone, but the yardage won't be there.
