Every other Sunday, I will be taking a quick look at some of the top prospects at the Low-A level, including their stats for the season, and if anything stands out about the performance. The season stats may not always tell us the whole story, but there are usually also some updates on how they are doing these things as opposed to just the numbers themselves. All statistics are courtesy of Fangraphs.com, and are through the games of Friday, 7/5/13.

- We saw on Friday that Javier Baez was promoted to AA by the Cubs, and Al Yellon wonders whether he could be called up at the end of the season. We'll see how he performs at AA, but it would not surprise me if he was moved quickly from here on out.
- Over the Monster provided their usual update on the Red Sox' High-A affiliate, including updates on Sean Coyle and Henry Ramos.
- Baseball America provided a full scouting report on the newly promoted Byron Buxton.
- Cubs' prospect Jorge Soler will miss the Futures Game, along with another 3-5 weeks at this point due to a shin injury.
- Craig Goldstein profiled Rangers' SS prospect Luis Sardinas.
