Every other Wednesday, I will be taking a quick look at some of the top prospects at the AA level, including their stats for the season so far. All statistics are courtesy of Fangraphs.com, and are through the games of Monday, 7/22/13. Have a question about a specific prospect or player? Post it in the comments and we'll discuss it.

- Francisco Lindor was promoted to AA after participating in the Futures Game on the 14th. Let's Go Tribe took a look at what it could mean, as there are solid prospects at shortstop at both AA and AAA, not to mention Asdrubal Cabrera in the bigs.
- Andrew Baggarly takes a look over at Baseball America ($) at the recently promoted Angel Villalona, and how he has finally started to show the promise he did a few years ago as a prospect. Villalona has reached AA for the first time this year, and could be in line for a September call-up since he's already on the 40-man roster, and has used two options so far.
- Kenneth Arthur took a look at Javier Baez, and wonders what happens if he doesn't succeed to the level many are expecting him to.
- Tim Williams of Pirates Prospects notes that Gregory Polanco impressed at the Futures Game last week. I could see Polanco potentially being the trade chip that the Pirates are most willing to move in a major trade.
- Doug Gray wrote at Minor League Ball about Christian Yelich, complete with a look at his spray chart tendencies. It's interesting to see that Yelich has a very strong all-fields approach to hitting, and I'm looking forward to what he can do now that he has been called up.

- Rob Castellano of Amazin Avenue asked whether Noah Syndergaard is going to be just as good as Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler. Those are some huge shoes to try and step into, although his performance at the Futures Game has me believing that might be possible.
- Marc Normandin provided updates on Anthony Ranaudo and others as a part of their review of Portland for Over the Monster.
