Every other Sunday, I will be taking a quick look at some of the top prospects at the Low-A level, including their stats for the season, and if anything stands out about the performance. The season stats may not always tell us the whole story, but there are usually also some updates on how they are doing these things as opposed to just the numbers themselves. All statistics are courtesy of Fangraphs.com, and are through the games of Friday, 7/19/13.

- Jesse Schindler of Pinstripe Bible took a look at the improved results from Mason Williams recently. Hopefully he will be able to put the questions about his makeup and work ethic behind him with this improved performance. We also learned (via Twitter) that Williams and Gary Sanchez will remain at High-A for the rest of the season.
- Over the Monster provides updates on Deven Marrero and Blake Swihart last week. Marrero remains a true shortstop prospect that isn't likely to make much noise for fantasy owners.
- Indians' top prospect Francisco Lindor was promoted to AA following the Futures Game, finishing there with a .306 batting average and 20 stolen bases.
- I'm honestly curious at this point when they demote Courtney Hawkins. Zack Mortimer (#followMort @ZachMort) provided an Eyewitness Account ($), and it doesn't look good for Hawkins at all.

- Nathaniel Stoltz provided in-depth updates on Luke Jackson and A.J. Cole over at Fangraphs. Jackson's name has been bandied about as a part of a potential Matt Garza trade.
- Something I can't say I've honestly ever heard of happening in the minors, as the Modesto Nuts (and through them the Colorado Rockies) fired manager Lenn Sakata. It sounds from the post over at Purple Row that the manager wasn't on board with the developmental plans for the minor leaguers there.
- DRays Bay asks whether the Rays are financially hurt by having the Florida State League right down the road.
- We saw a number of pitchers in the High-A leagues promoted to AA, including Edwin Escobar, Justin Nicolino, and Kyle Zimmer.
- Red Sox' prospect Henry Owens threw 6 innings as a part of a no-hitter last week as well. He's a prospect I'm hoping to take a look at in the next few weeks.
