Week 14 Starting Pitchers

1. Stephen Fife at San Francisco Giants (7/6)

2. Jacob Turner at Atlanta Braves (7/4)

3. Joe Kelly vs. Miami Marlins (7/6)

4. Chris Archer at Houston Astros (7/4)

5. Randall Delgado at New York Mets (7/3)

6. Mark Buehrle vs. Minnesota Twins (7/5)

7. Phil Hughes at Minnesota Twins (7/2) vs. Baltimore Orioles (7/7)

8. Bud Norris vs. Tampa Bay Rays (7/3)

9. David Phelps at Minnesota Twins (7/4)

Fife is going to top the list in Week 14. He had two quality starts last week, including a 7 inning, no run outing. Fife currently has a 3.408 ERA. Turner has been even better than Fife, but he faces a tougher opponent in Atlanta. Turner is posting a stellar 1.756 ERA and 1.0976 WHIP. Joe Kelly has only started one game this season. He has been coming out of the pen, but he has starter stuff. I like his matchup in Miami. Speaking of favorable matchups, I expect both Hughes and Phelps to shut down the Twins. Both pitchers need a good performance as the Yankees are slipping down the standings. I am a Chris Archer fan. His fastball is electric, but his command is shaky. I'll take my chances with him against Houston. Bud Norris loves taking the mound in Houston. In 2013, Norris is 3-3 at home with a 2.38 ERA. Last week, Delgado looked good against his former team, the Braves. His ERA is hanging around 4, so nothing too great, but he faces the Mets and has had 3 straight solid starts. I have been burned by Mark Buehrle many times. He will give up a lot of hits and eat up innings. Hopefully, the good Mark Buehrle shows up in Minnesota this week.
