The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup. Before I get into Wednesday's streaming pitcher selections, here is how my selections for Wednesday's games performed:
Julio Teheran vs Pirates 8 IP, H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 11 K, W
Jason Vargas vs Cubs - 5 IP, 11 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Combined stats: 13 IP, 12 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 15 K, W, 3.46 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
Friday's Streaming Pitchers
Jarrod Parker vs White Sox
Parker is owned in 42.2% of ESPN leagues, and will be on the road to face the White Sox. After some early season struggles, Parker has given up 3 runs or less in six of his last seven starts. He pitched like the Parker of old in May, with a 3.62 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, and will look to continue that vs the White Sox on Friday.
Jordan Lyles vs Royals
Lyles is owned in just 0.4% of ESPN leagues and gets to face the struggling Royals lineup on Friday night. Lyles has pitched better than his overall numbers indicate this season. If you take out, let's pretend, his May 12th start vs the Rangers, where he gave up 8 runs on 11 hits in 4 innings, his ERA is 2.67 with a 1.25 WHIP. He should be owned in more than 0.4% of leagues.
