Streamer Report: Wednesday's Streaming Pitchers

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streaming starting pitcher selections for Wednesday's MLB action.

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup.

When a Fake Teams loyal reader emails me asking where the Streamer Report is this week, I respond. My apologies for not getting to Tuesday's Streamer Report, but I had a good reason. I had a phone interview for a job I really wanted, and it went so well, I got the job!!!

Before I get into Wednesday's streaming pitcher selections, here is how my selections for Monday's games performed:

Eric Stults vs Dodgers - 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, L

Kyle Kendrick vs Marlins - 9 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, BB, 5 K, W

Combined stats: 16 IP, 12 H, 4 ER, BB, 8 K, W, L, 2.25 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, W, L

Julio Teheran vs Pirates

Teheran is owned in 48.1% of ESPN leagues and gets to face a Pirates team that struggles to score runs on Wednesday night. Teheran has given up three runs or less in seven straight starts now, and his dismal 2012 AAA performance is looking more and more like a fluke now.

Jason Vargas vs Cubs

Vargas is owned in 46.4% of ESPN leagues and will face the young Cubs team that ranks 18th in runs scored this season. After struggling in April, Vargas has given up two runs or less in six of his last seven starts this season, lowering his ERA from 5.82 to 3.34.
