Week 10 Starting Pitchers

1. Jeremy Guthrie vs. Minnesota Twins (6/5)

2. Kevin Gausman at Tampa Bay Rays (6/8)

3. Phil Hughes at Seattle Mariners (6/6)

4. Chris Tillman at Houston Astros (6/4) at Tamp Bay Rays (6/9)

5. Freddy Garcia at Houston Astros (6/5)

6. Jason Marquis at Los Angeles Dodgers (6/5)

7. Jonathon Pettibone vs. Miami Marlins (6/4) at Milwaukee Brewers (6/9)

8. Kyle Lohse vs. Oakland Athletics (6/4)

9. Jacob Turner at Philadelphia Phillies (6/5)

10. Bud Norris vs. Baltimore Orioles (6/6)

11. Rick Porcello vs. Cleveland Indians (6/8)

Not the greatest selection here in Week 10. I really like Guthrie against Minnesota and Hughes in Seattle. Gausman looked very, very good against Detroit in his last start and I think that he is starting to settle down at the big league level. Tillman gets to face some weak lineups in Houston and Tampa. Freddy Garcia is putting together another solid year, baffling baseball fans yet again. However, I am really not a fan of picking up soft-throwers like him and Marquis. Although Norris and Porcello have been solid of late, I have a hard time trusting them. Lohse has been shaky this year, but we all know that he is capable of still being a quality pitcher. Pettibone and Turner are the young guns on the list. I would only advise starting Pettibone in his first start against Miami.

Week 10 Hitters

Coors Field Series - San Diego Padres 4 games

Los Angeles Angels - 1 game vs. Houston Astros / 2 games vs. Chicago Cubs / 3 games at Boston Red Sox

Texas Rangers - 3 games at Boston Red Sox / 3 games at Toronto Blue Jays

Chris Johnson

Michael Brantley

Chris Denorfia

Chris Johnson has started every game in which the Braves have faced a left-handed pitcher. In Week 10, they will see 5 southpaws. Chris Denorfia will also see a nice helping of lefties, 4, and he will also play a 4-game series in Colorado. Michael Brantley should be able to take advantage of the short porch in Yankee Stadium.
