Streamer Report: Zack Wheeler makes his major league debut

Do you need a starting pitcher to stream on Tuesday? Check out the Streamer Report for your daily streaming selections.

USA TODAY Sports

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup.

Before I get to Tuesday's streamer selections, let's take a look at how my streamers performed on Sunday:

Corey Kluber vs Nationals - 8 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K, W

Jeremy Hefner vs Cubs - 5 IP, 6 H, ER, BB, 5 K

Combined stats: 13 IP, 13 H, ER, BB, 13 K, W, 0.69 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, W

Monday's Pitching Streamers

Jordan Lyles vs Brewers

Lyles is owned in just 2.8% of ESPN leagues and is coming of probably his best start as a big leaguer, where he shutout the Mariners and struck out 10 over 7 innings. Lyles is 3-1 with a 3.48 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. He was the subject of a piece I wrote on Friday here. He has given up two runs or less in seven of his nine starts this season.

Ubaldo Jimenez vs Royals

Jimenez is owned in 12.5% of ESPN leagues and faces the Royals lineup at home on Tuesday night. Ubaldo has given up three runs or less in eight of his last nine starts, lowering his ERA from over 10.00 to 4.79. In five career starts vs the Royals, he is 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.

Zack Wheeler vs Braves

Wheeler is already owned in 47.2% of ESPN leagues and faces the Braves in his major league debut on Tuesday night near his Georgia hometown. He is one of the better pitching prospects in the game, and should be owned in all leagues.
