Streamer Report: Father's Day Weekend Edition

Do you need a starting pitcher to stream this weekend? Check out the Streamer Report for your daily streaming selections.

Rick Yeatts

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections for the fantasy owner who likes to stream starting pitchers in leagues with no innings cap. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either have a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a good matchup.

Before I get to this weekend's streamer selections, let's take a look at how Thursday's streamers performed:

Kevin Gausman vs Boston - 5.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

Kevin Correia vs Phillies - 5 IP, 8 H, ER, BB, 6 K

Combined stats: 10.1 IP, 14 H, 3 ER, BB, 11 K, 2.61 ERA, 1.45 WHIP

Saturday

Jon Niese vs Cubs

Niese is owned in 39.3% of ESPN leagues and faces the Cubs on Friday night at Citi Field. In 56 career starts at Citi Field, Niese is 16-21 with a 3.85 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. After two rough starts in early May, Niese has been very good, giving up just 5 earned runs in his last 27 innings on the mound, covering his last four starts.

A.J. Griffin vs Tigers

Griffin is owned in 41.2% of ESPN leagues and will face the solid Tigers lineup on Friday night. I will ride the hot A's lineup at home on Friday. In 13 starts this season, Griffin owns a 3.78 ERA and a solid 1.14 WHIP.

Tom Koehler vs Cardinals

Koehler is owned in under 1% of ESPN leagues and will have a tough task on Saturday night, having to face the Cardinals. Koehler, an excellent ground ball pitcher, has given up three runs or less in four of his six starts this season.

Father's Day

Corey Kluber vs Nationals

Kluber is owned in just 1.1% of ESPN leagues and face the Nationals team that has struggled to score runs this season. Kluber is 4-4 with a 4.08 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a solid 57-12 strikeout to walk rate in 57.1 innings.

Jeremy Hefner vs Cubs

Hefner is owned in under 1% of ESPN leagues, and will face the Cubs at Citi Field on Father's Day. Hefner has pitched well of late, giving up three runs or less in each of his last four starts, and eight of his 12 starts this season.
