Every other Wednesday, I will be taking a quick look at some of the top prospects at the AA level, including their stats for the season so far. All statistics are courtesy of Fangraphs.com, and are through the games of Monday, 6/10/13. Have a question about a specific prospect or player? Post it in the comments and we'll discuss it.

- Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario were both promoted to AA this week. Frankly, it's about time for Sano, who was destroying everything thrown his way in Fort Myers. I'll be very interested to see how he does the rest of the season, as it could determine whether we see Sano next year in Minnesota.
- Minor League Ball looked at Joc Pederson versus Cesar Puello a couple weeks ago.
- Cesar Puello was the only minor leaguer mentioned in the Biogenesis scandal, and it remains to be seen whether he will have any ability to appeal a suspension should one come, since he is not in the players' union. Puello has 13 home runs and 18 stolen bases in 52 games so far this season.
- I would say everyone is pretty well aware that the Dodgers' promoted Yasiel Puig to the majors last week. Kid's pretty good.
- Kevin Nielsen took a look at Angels' top prospect Kaleb Cowart, asking if anything has changed since last year.
- Michael Jong of Fish Stripes asks whether the Marlins are desperate enough to call up Christian Yelich or Jake Marisnick. I think that with the return of both Logan Morrison and Giancarlo Stanton, they likely won't be up for the foreseeable future.

- Alex Wood was recalled by the Braves to pitch out of their bullpen, and I wonder if at this point the team decides to leave him there long term given the amount of starting pitching they have in the high levels of the minors.
- I mentioned on Sunday that I thought Nick Kingham could be promoted soon to AA, and it turns out that it has happened. I like this for him, as it was becoming pretty clear he had mastered High-A.
- Yordano Ventura was promoted to AAA Omaha, and leewarren at Minor League Ball has a great recap of his discussions about Ventura with Omaha's manager and pitching coach.
- Rick Randall of Lookout Landing has brief profiles about a number of the Mariners' top prospects, including Taijuan Walker.
- Craig Goldstein took a look at Red Sox' pitching prospect Anthony Ranaudo, and his rebound/breakout season thus far.
- His teammate in Portland, Brandon Workman, was promoted to AAA Pawtucket. Workman looks like a back-end starter for fantasy owners, and could see action in the Majors in 2014.
- I'm curious if we see Jameson Taillon promoted with the call up of Gerrit Cole for Tuesday's start.
