The Streamer Report: Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Targets

Ray Guilfoyle offers his streaming starting pitcher selections for Tuesday's games.

USA TODAY Sports

The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.

Before I get to Tuesday's streamers, here is how my selections for Sunday's games fared:

Dan Straily vs Yankees - 5.1 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K,

Wandy Rodriguez vs Nationals - 6 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, BB, 7 K

Jose Quintana vs Royals - 5 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K

Combined stats: 16.1 IP, 16 H, 9 ER, 6 BB, 14 K, 5.03 ERA, 1.37 WHIP

Now for my streamer selections for Tuesday's games:

Josh Beckett vs Diamondbacks

Beckett is owned in 29.3% of ESPN leagues, and has struggled in the early going of the 2013 season, but gets the Diamondbacks at home on Tuesday night. He had his best start of the season vs the Diamondbacks back on April 14th, going 8.1 innings, giving up just one run on 6 hits, a walk and 9 strikeouts. He will look to duplicate that effort on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.

Roberto Hernandez vs Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are struggling to score runs this season, as they rank 14th among 15 American League teams in runs scored, with only the White Sox behind them. Hernandez takes the mound at home, and looks to bounce back from a poor effort vs the White Sox in his last outing. He is 3-1 with a 4.54 ERA and 1.593 WHIP in 6 career starts vs Toronto.

Kyle Kendrick vs Giants

I am cheating a little here, as Kendrick is now rightly owned in 58.5% of ESPN leagues, but should be owned in more. Kendrick has been the Phillies best starter this season, and looks to continue his hot start vs the Giants on Tuesday night. Kendrick has given up 2 runs or less and has gone six or more innings in five of his six starts thus far.
