Peter Bourjos should be back in a couple weeks from his hamstring injury. Tommy Hanson will likely return tomorrow against the Astros. Jerome Williams will remain in the rotation which means the Angels will go with a 6-man rotation for the time being. Williams' next start is Saturday against the Astros and he is worth streaming for it.
Justin Maxwell should return in a couple weeks. Jose Veras has been terrible lately and anybody speculating on saves should take a look at Hector Ambriz or Paul Clemens. They aren't closer-worthy but they might be the Astros best alternatives to Jose Veras.
Josh Reddick will return from his wrist injury tomorrow. Nate Freiman is having a decent season but he may struggle to find playing time once Reddick returns.
Brett Lawrie will be out for a couple weeks with an ankle sprain. Casey Janssen missed a couple games with shoulder soreness but he's fine and nailed down the save yesterday.
Brett Myers is experiencing elbow soreness again and is unlikely to return as a SP this season. Chris Perez has a shoulder injury and will miss at least a few weeks. Vinnie Pestano has taken over at closer but with his velocity down I would suggest handcuffing him with Joe Smith or Bryan Shaw.
Nick Franklin was called up to take over for Dustin Ackley who was sent to AAA. Franklin is definitely worth a pickup in AL-only or deep leagues and should be picked up in all mixed leagues if you need a middle infielder. He will have both SS and 2B eligibility in many leagues and can hit for average with a little power and speed. I think Ackley will be back up before long resulting in Franklin sliding over to shortstop. Michael Morse has a leg injury and might be put on the DL if it doesn't improve quickly.
Nolan Reimold is a couple weeks away from returning. Jim Johnson has had a rough month and Darren O'Day would probably be the guy should the team make a change at closer.
Ian Kinsler had a setback and will miss most of June with a rib injury. Colby Lewis has a triceps issue and will be shut down for a couple weeks. The best bet for his return at this point would be after the All-Star break. Alexi Ogando will be back next week. Martin Perez was sent down to AAA and the plan is for Jurickson Profar to be sent down as well once Ian Kinsler returns.
Alex Colome will make his first MLB start tonight against the Marlins. With Jake Odorizzi getting sent down it's likely that Colome or Chris Archer will replace him in the rotation. Alex Cobb's next start will be pushed back due to a fingernail issue. David Price is at least a couple weeks from returning to the rotation.
Clay Buchholz will start Sunday against the Yankees. He had been dealing with a shoulder injury but it wasn't serious enough to require a DL stint. Jackie Bradley Jr. will likely only be up with the team until Shane Victorino returns on June 5th.
Salvador Perez should return from the bereavement list this weekend. The team named George Brett as their new hitting coach and hopefully their hitting will improve as a result.
Torii Hunter was hit by a pitch on his elbow last night and he's not playing today. He'll also miss Friday and Saturday's games for family-related reasons. If Alex Avila doesn't turn things around at the plate one has to wonder if the team will make a trade or Brayan Pena will get increased playing time.
Trevor Plouffe will miss at least a couple weeks with a calf injury. Samuel Deduno shut down the Brewers yesterday and might be worth using in AL-only leagues based on his matchup.
Gordon Beckham is a week or two away from returning. John Danks is continuing to struggle with his velocity and I think Hector Santiago will replace him in the rotation soon enough. I really like Santiago as a fantasy SP.
Andy Pettitte will make his return Monday against the Indians. Ivan Nova pitched excellently after David Phelps got lit up by the Mets yesterday. I think he'll be back in the rotation before long. Vidal Nuno will likely be removed from the rotation after Pettitte's return. Curtis Granderson and Derek Jeter should return around the all-star break. Kevin Youkilis and Mark Teixeira will likely return at some point this weekend.
